This position will be filled at the NQ-1102-02 level, with promotion potential to the NQ-1102-03 level.

At the NQ-1102-02 level, the incumbent will serve as a Contract Specialist trainee. As part of planned career development, the incumbent is required to obtain Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C Professional) and demonstrate proficiency in post-award contract administration activities included in the Field Office training plan prior to being considered eligible for promotion to the NQ-03 grade level. During formal acquisition training, the incumbent will be required to work (under limited supervision) with senior staff members to perform post award contract administration duties in accordance with regulations, directives, and policy established by the Department of Energy (DOE) and NNSA.

At the NQ-1102-03 level, the incumbent will serve as a warranted Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO) with signatory authority for functions as defined in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 42.302 in accordance with regulations, directives, and policy established by the DOE and NNSA.

The responsibility for and complexity of duties increase with experience and grade level and consist of the following:

• Performing contract administration of one or more multi-billion dollar complex contracts and/or Management & Operating (M&O) contracts as defined in FAR Subpart 17.6 and Department of Energy Acquisition Regulation (DEAR) 970. The contracts administered may include complex short or long-term cost, incentive, re-determinable, flexibly priced, or firm fixed-price type contracts.
• Assisting with managing of the contractor performance evaluation (fee determination) process for the assigned M&O contract and the award fee determination process for other incentive contracts, if applicable (e.g., CPAF and CPIF).
• Serving as a business advisor to Field Office staff, providing contractual guidance, support, and training.
• Completing closeout activities of assigned contracts in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Communicating professionally and appropriately with external and internal stakeholders such as: NNSA programs, Procuring Contracting Officers, Program Managers, Auditors, Inspector General representatives, and other federal entities, and Contractor senior leaders.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Starting at $59,966 Per Year (NQ 2)

Major duties include but are not limited to:

• Directs subordinate Police Officers engaged in law enforcement responsibilities;
• Plans work schedules and sequence of operations daily to assure an even flow and distribution of work, the expeditious handling of priority cases and meeting schedules/deadlines;
• Performs supervisory duties to include performance standards/evaluations; reviewing work in progress/completion; requesting action for recruitment of vacancies, promotions and other status changes; approval/disapproval of leave requests; resolving grievances and/or complaints; takes disciplinary action;
• Coordinates with law enforcement representatives of other units concerning matters of priorities and procedures;
• Responds to highly dangerous and active crimes in progress and makes independent decisions to take/direct/coordinate immediate steps to preserve life and property;
• Empathizes, engages, and communicates with all individuals encountered to ensure a positive and safe environment;
• Instructs/trains employees in specific tasks and job techniques;
• Keeps officers informed of management goals and objectives;
• Assures compliance with federal, state, county and municipal laws and ordinances as they pertain to VA property and agency rules and regulations pertaining to law enforcement work;
• Writes uniform offense reports covering incidents that contain pertinent information, which is factual, classified properly, and submits reports timely;
• Identifies and reacts to overcome life threatening situations such as natural or manmade disasters, hostage, barrier, terrorist attack, kidnap, or felony assault;
• Conducts long and short-term investigations;
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Established in 2008, Drafting Victoria is a structural steel and precast concrete detailing company providing efficient, accurate and prompt services to structural steel and precast concrete manufacturers. We are currently seeking to employ an experienced and qualified Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join our team in Dandenong South VIC 3175.

The successful candidates will need to undertake and possess:

- Draft plans and detailed drawings for steel structures
- Draw maps, diagrams and profiles using cross-sections and surveys to represent elevations, topographical contours, subsurface formations and structures
- Correlate, interpret and modify data obtained by topographical surveys, well logs and geophysical reports
- Finish and duplicate drawings and documentation packages, according to required mediums and specifications for reproduction, using blueprinting, photography or other duplicating methods
- Review sketches, drawings and specifications received from civil engineers to ensure that they conform to design concepts
- Determine order of work and method of presentation including orthographic or isometric drawing
- Calculate excavation tonnage and prepare graphs for fill-hauling diagrams for use in earth-moving operations
- Explain drawings to production or construction teams and provide adjustments as necessary
- Calculate weights, volumes and stress factors and their implications for technical aspects of designs
- Use computer assisted drafting systems (CAD) to produce drawings
- Determine quality, cost, strength and quantity of required materials

Skills & Abilities:

- Minimum Bachelor of Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5 years’ experience across multi-disciplines in Civil Engineering Drafting may substitute for formal qualifications

Network Enforcement Officer (Hybrid) needed in Chichester, £16.37ph PAYE - Reference: RQ1404549

Location: Chichester but will involve travel across the County. The role is predominantly out on site across West Sussex but most likely to the Mid and east part of the County (Horsham, Crawley, Burgess Hill, Shoreham) depending on the business need. There will be some admin requirements and these can be done at an office or at home.

The successful candidate must have a valid UK driving license.

About the role:

• You will work within a forward-thinking network management team responsible for delivering duties under the Network Management Act 2004 for the expeditious movement of traffic on the highway network and that of any neighbouring authorities. You will support the promotion of any initiatives and transport and traffic schemes including elements of the West Sussex Transport Plan.

• To do so you will ensure that utility companies and other persons under Permit and / or licence, carry out works on the public highway safely and in accordance with the New Roads and Streetworks Act 1991, Traffic Management Act 2004 and Permit Scheme and other relevant legislation and policy.

• You will also be responsible for responding to, and resolving, a range of customer issues relating to the licensing of temporary obstructions to the highway, and to take a lead in enforcement for infringements.

• You will support the day to day activities of the Network Management Team and be the interface in respect of the provision of Network Management Compliance. You will achieve this by co-ordinating and minimising the impact of work sites on the highway network by permit condition to ensure that the work sites are run professionally.

• The role will include undertaking site visits, which may mean being exposed to unpleasant environmental conditions, due to being outside.

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
