Main Duties

Operations

-To be aware of and ensure compliance with all aspects of policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK Law and Guidance bodies.

-Fully and satisfactorily complete all of the tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI's).

-Proactively refer to and review the published Assignment Instructions, thus familiarising oneself with any changes in order to suggest additional amendments that will improve or enhance the current level of service.

-To be compliant with Industry and Statutory Legislation (you are required to obtain a front-line licence in either Security Guarding or Door Supervision), which must be worn at all times whilst carrying out your duties. The Customer also requires a CCTV PSS SIA Licence. There are also additional courses that are contractually required.

-Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.

-Follow instructions and procedures appropriately without unnecessarily challenging authority.

-Work in a systematic, methodology and orderly way.

Training

-Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training.

-To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development as directed by the Security Account Manager.

-Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge and expertise through continual professional development.

-You are required to ensure you renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry.

Security and Health & Safety

-Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.

-Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment in order to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.

-Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears to become threatening.

-To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.

-Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible after any incident, which can then be used as part of the Incident Report process.

-Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.

-To ensure check calls are being carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AI's).

-To call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incidents.

An exciting opportunity to joint NHS England South East Region as part of the Commissioning Finance Team.

We are looking for a Finance Manager who is highly motivated, talented, and well organised to join and lead the Pharmacy, Ophthalmic and Dental (POD) Finance Team.

POD services have been delegated to Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) with the POD Finance team providing a financial service through a Hub model.

The successful applicant will play a significant role in supporting commissioners within the Commissioning Hub and ICBs to deliver one of the key NHS objectives for 2024/25 – making it easier for people to access community and primary care services, in particular dentistry.
• Lead the POD Finance Team to ensure a comprehensive financial management process is provided for Pharmacy, Ophthalmic and Dental Services.
• Act as key point of contact between regional and ICB finance teams for POD services.
• Provide information to ICBs relating to delegated services that is clear, accurate and timely.

Your new role

• The successful candidate will provide timely, high quality and commercial legal advice to the platform and financial advice businesses and central functions.
• You will have the opportunity to get involved in a wide breadth of commercial matters both contentious and non-contentious.
• Whilst needing to be able to support any area covered by the legal team, commercial contract delivery will be a key focus of the role. This work will include contracts relating to the procurement of technology and services from suppliers, working closely with the Procurement team, and contracts with financial advisers, working closing with the relevant business contract management teams.
• Supporting the Deputy Head of Legal on corporate transactions, such as acquisitions and disposals, as required.
• Assisting the Head of Legal in relation to customer complaints and disputes as required.
• General commercial legal advice on any matter impacting the business.
• Sourcing and managing cost-effective external legal advice where required to protect business interests.
• Provision of specialist advice and guidance on relevant legal updates and legislative developments.
• Reporting effectively on legal issues and risk exposure and escalating actions as appropriate (e.g., under the Legal Risk Policy) and generally minimising exposure to litigation, risk and associated costs.
• Promoting the operational efficiency of the Legal team.

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Solicitor in England& Wales with 1-5 years PQE.
• Strong commercial contract experience including procurement contracts, IT contracts, supply agreements, etc.
• Candidate has dispute or commercial litigation experience would be desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, could provide legal advice to different stakeholders at different levels, also instruct the external counsel
• Team work and can manage diversified caseloads, and also prioritise the tasks in order to improve efficiency.
• Can be in the Southampton office at least 2 days a week.

You will be working for a market-leading legal firm seeking a Legal Credit Controller to join their team to act as the main point of contact for billing and collection matters on a day-to-day basis to help maximise billings and collections.
Your new role

• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues (fee earners/partners etc.) and undertake regular calls/meetings to discuss WIP and accounts receivable balances to drive performance across the firm
• Maintain SLA's (service level agreements) and adhere to the governance framework ensuring the accuracy of billing
• Maintain extensive knowledge of all significant WIP and debt balances; report on and analyse the effects as to the short and long-term financial goals of each office
• Notify partners regarding delinquent accounts and respond as directed.
• Play a key role in ensuring the firm is achieving its cash targets by managing and supporting the credit controllers.
• Monitor missing timesheets and incorrect time recording behaviour and ensure that missing timesheets are promptly followed up.
• Play a key role in ensuring the firm is successfully meeting all billing deadlines and proactively supporting the Revenue Manager.
• Where appropriate, manage E-Billing clients and ensure the timely submission of invoices through the relevant E-Billing portals.

What you'll need to succeed

• Full right-to-work in the UK with prior experience working within a UK finance team.
• Prior experience of 3E, EBillingHub or Elite Enterprise is an advantage but not necessary.
• Prior experience working within a professional services environment, with WIP management experience
• Experienced dealing with all levels
• Knowledge of standard billing practices and procedures
• Experience working with MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Systems change management experience desirable
