Acorn by Synergie is searching for a Project Manager to join their client within the live events industry in Manchester.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the purpose of the role is to take responsibility for managing multiple projects in a fast-moving environment. Plan and schedule the manufacture of multiple items which are designed and manufactured onsite in Manchester for live events and interior fit-outs using a range of materials and electrical items.
Duties will include:
* Liaising with the sales, design, costings and procurements teams together with the Workshop Supervisor ensuring that bespoke items for clients are manufactured within agreed timescales and to high quality standards.
* Develop and implement manufacturing plans to meet deadlines.
* Monitoring the progress and adjusting schedules of multiple projects.
* Liaising with clients, designers and production teams providing regular updates, addressing any concerns.
* Work with the Workshop Supervisor to ensure staffing levels are sufficient for the planned production.
The successful candidate must have proven experience within a project management / production planning role. Experience within the prop making or related creative industries would be beneficial but not essential.
Must have strong knowledge of manufacturing techniques, materials and tools across a range of materials including wood, acrylics and foam.
The role requires a combination of planning skills, technical expertise and an understanding of the creative process involved in manufacturing bespoke items.
Hours of work are 40 hours per week
