Position Summary:
The Project Management Lead is responsible for successful intake, screening, scoping and tracking of enterprise projects that support strategy implementation and operational effectiveness. Collaborates with leaders and other project managers across the organization to facilitate prioritization, alignment and scheduling of projects. Supports and advises operational leaders serving as project managers and works to increase project management competencies across Bozeman Health. Responsible for successful planning, implementation and completion of some key strategic projects, ensuring accomplishment of business needs and delivery of projects on time and within budget. Provides the Executive Team and other leaders with consistent, timely reports on aggregate project status.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, project management, healthcare management or related
- Project Manager Professional (PMP) Certification
- 3-5 years of project management experience
- Experience driving major change efforts through a complex organization
Essential Job Functions:
- Evaluates project requests and facilitates additional analyses as needed. Works with project requestors to develop project charters to clarify objectives, scope, benefits and deliverables and to determine timeframe, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements and allotment of available business segment resources to various phases of project.
- Supports and facilitates the Project Scoping Committee to align, prioritize, schedule and monitor progress of key enterprise-wide projects and make recommendations to the Executive Team when re-prioritization of projects is needed.
- Communicates with project requestors and leaders to inform them of prioritization and approval decisions.
- Serves as liaison to other project managers to ensure alignment, collaboration and stewardship of Bozeman Health resources.
- Provides leadership and is accountable for the successful completion and results of key assigned strategic projects.
- Develops, maintains and provides training on project management tools to support project implementation across Bozeman Health.
- Confers with project participants to provide technical advice and to manage identification and problem resolution.
