This role will support the Senior Manager (Risk, Control and Governance) and the Consumer Performance Unit (CPU) Directors in the oversight and delivery of all assurance activity, including the operation and maintenance of risk, control and incident management processes across UKI CPU, aligned to the UKI ‘Risk Management Framework’ and ‘Incident Management Framework’. This includes leading the development and maintenance of CPU risk registers, delivery of risk and control assessments (conducted in line with business requirements) and the oversight and delivery of ‘process-control walkthroughs’ (as required).

The role holder will provide support, guidance, and oversight for the delivery of all relevant assurance activity and will ensure that Conduct Risk is managed in line with the UKI Customer Outcomes Policy, ensuring conduct risk is reported appropriately. They will also be required to lead the delivery of a CPU incident portfolio in line with the requirements of the UKI ‘Incident Management Framework’ and will provide root cause analysis and observations/actions relating to control gaps/failures to further improve the segment risk appetite and maturity. The role also includes a requirement to co-ordinate delivery of executive attestations for CPU, provide oversight and support for and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) activities, and assist with completion of Internal Audit/ORCM activities and process map updates (as required).

You’ll help us make health happen through:

• Supporting the Senior Manager (Risk, Control and Governance) and CPU Directors in identifying, mitigating, and managing risks, including the regular assessment of risks and associated controls
• Leading on ‘process-control walkthroughs’, understanding and clearly articulating/capturing the business and regulatory impact
• Supporting the CPU with education on related actives such as risk, control, and incident management (including identification, reporting and the mitigation process including remediation/redress)
• Helping to facilitate management of the Internal Audit /ORCM process, including input to the ToR, facilitation of the programme, input to final reports and management/closure of subsequent actions
• Leading on key/local control assessment and to facilitate/oversee relevant improvement plans to completion
• Supporting the development of effective governance across the area, escalating issues where there are concerns

Key Skills needed for this role:

• Significant experience of the FCA and/or Financial Services regulatory environment
• Good and demonstrable understanding of Risk and Control Management (both operational and conduct)
• Good and demonstrable understanding of Incident Management & Root Cause Analysis
• Stakeholder management skills and experience
• Experience of operation of risk and control frameworks
• Ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels

The Business Analyst will partner with our UK Executive team and stakeholders to translate emerging opportunities into outstanding business and customer outcomes that enable Bupa to achieve its strategy of becoming the UK’s most admired healthcare company.

As a Business Analyst will provide support to UK Business Change Managers in understanding the business, its operations and practices, together with environmental, market and healthcare industry contexts, to establish cost effective solutions that enable the business to achieve its ambitions and objectives.

How you’ll help us make health happen:

• Provide critical input to the development of Bupa’s digital agenda, applying a full business analysis skillset to support the transformation of our digital capabilities across online and mobile channels – for example: developing new mobile apps and online experiences; using digital messaging to strengthen relationships with our customers; building and improving underlying technology and security platforms; and innovating our propositions to compete effectively in a connected, data-driven world.

• Partner effectively with stakeholders to translate these outcomes into specific objectives, and from there define detailed needs and prioritised business requirements.

• Examine these needs and requirements through various lenses such as customers, partners, employees, the business and its regulators, understanding and managing the competing tensions to create appropriate specifications that, in turn, drive practical deliverables.

• Identify sustainable solutions (technical, people, process, systems, cultural, or any combination of these), and create and manage optimised, efficient delivery plans.

• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the business context of all Change initiatives that they/their team are involved with, being able to clearly identify and understand the impact on our customers and Bupa, and confidently articulating to stakeholders why we are doing them.

• Identify, contribute to and manage project risks, issues and dependencies.

• Demonstrate excellent influencing skills and natural gravitas to drive change across the organisation. Challenge and inform change ideas, project scope, direction and outcomes where appropriate. Understand the audience and adopt appropriate communication styles in order to impart messages clearly and concisely and sell-in solutions persuasively.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

• Ideally hold a Business Analysis and/or Change Management certification (preferably to Practitioner level) by a recognised professional body such as APMG, ISEB/BCS or IIBA

• Strong working knowledge of established Change and Business Analysis methodologies (such as Lean, Six Sigma, Agile) and the use of relevant systems (e.g. DevOps, Jira, Confluence).

• Strong background of successful Change delivery within the Healthcare and/or Financial Services industries, ideally with experience of working in e-commerce or digital environments.

• Possess a passion for Change-led innovation, being able to identify and successfully deploy leading-edge tools and techniques to enable the business to move rapidly towards its desired future state.

• Exhibit considerable drive, enthusiasm and a ‘can do’ attitude; being able to seize the opportunity and cope with high-intensity activity in a dynamic, fast-paced transformational environment.

• Be a strong and logical problem solver, able to demonstrate a history of innovative, lateral and creative thinking, and capable of making sound pragmatic decisions.

• Be able to use a range of business modelling and solution design approaches to force clarity and create simplified views of complex business and commercial realities.

Role Overview:

As Tactical Planning Analyst you will be utilising your broad understanding of both forecasting and Resource Planning methodologies to make real time decisions, having a direct impact on both our people and our customer alike. Your ability to assimilate complex information and articulate complicated information quickly and effectively is critical to success. 

What you’ll do:

• Ensure customer demand is clearly understood, deploying resource supply to best meet that need
• Make decisions in a high-pressure environment, taking confidence from real time analysis of situations and taking ownership for decisions and actions
• Contribute to Tactical Planning regular meetings
• Taking lead in presenting the daily / weekly outlook, highlighting risks and putting appropriate mitigation in place including use of Overtime or extension of Outsource hours
• Ensure stakeholder conversations take place as appropriate
• Work with colleagues across Operational Planning to develop solutions to Operational challenges undertaking continuous improvement activity to improve the experience of our customers and our people

What you’ll bring:

• Be able to demonstrate extensive experience working as part of a Contact Centre Planning team as either Resource Planner or Forecaster
• Have practical experience of both Telephony and WFM technologies 
• Be a confident decision maker with the ability to base your decisions on analytical assessments of real time circumstances 
• Be an expert communicator, articulating complex messages at all levels of the organisation, inspiring people to engage to ensuring the best possible outcomes for our customer measured through our conduct risks measures. 
• Have proficient use of MS Office applications
