We are delighted to offer 3 apprenticeships for Apprentice Receptionist Administrators in 3 areas of ourImaging Department – PET CT, X-Ray and Ultrasound. These departments form part of the Radiology Imaging division of the hospital which provides a diagnostic, interventional and therapeutic service for patients in the East of England region. The various imaging techniques within the division are used help to diagnose and treat diseases in the body.

As an Apprentice Receptionist Administrator, you will be providing administration support within thePET CT, X-Ray and Ultrasound Departmentswith duties which include meeting, greeting and registering new patients, booking appointments, maintaining medical records, communicating with internal and external colleagues and patients via email, telephone and face to face and completing general administration tasks. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and enthusiastic with strong organisational skills and have a desire to deliver excellent customer service within their role.

The contract length is for 18 months and the apprenticeship salary on commencement is £14,400; after 12 months in post this will increase to the National Minimum Wage (depending upon your age). The Trust is proud of its values of Together – Safe, Kind and Excellent and looks to provide its staff with support, training and progression opportunities; towards the end of your apprenticeship contract you will be supported by the Apprenticeship Team to apply for permanent employment. We have a high percentage of previous apprentices who have successfully gained further employment within the Trust with opportunities to gain higher qualifications.

Come and join us and be supported to earn as you learn whilst undertaking a nationally recognised qualification. You will study an Intermediate Customer Service/Business Admin Apprenticeship. It is ideal if this type of role is new to you, where you can learn and build new skills. You will need to have minimum GCSE Grade 3/D or Functional Skills Level 1 or above in Maths and English. You will be enthusiastic, have a positive work ethic, be keen to learn and able to work in a team. You will receive support to gain a wide range of experience and skills, supervision and mentoring.

There is no upper age limit on joining us as an apprentice. However, please note that the post holder for PET-CTmust be aged 18+ due to Health & Safety age restrictions in the department.

The NHS is facing significant challenges nationally, with continued long waits in A&E departments, and for outpatient appointments, diagnostics and surgery, in an increasingly financially constrained environment. However, there are also huge opportunities to do things differently: through redesigning pathways of care, effective utilisation of technology, and closer collaboration with our local and regional partners, we could transform how we deliver care.

To address these challenges and opportunities, we will need to make some significant changes to how we deliver care. The Associate Director of Operational Planning and Projects is being introduced in Division D in this context, to ensure that our teams have the capacity and support to drive the ambitious level of change required. Division D is responsible for Neurosciences, EPOV (Ear, Nose and Throat, Head & Neck, Plastics, Oral/Maxillofacial, Vascular Surgery) and CDG-MODEL (Cardiology, Dermatology, Medical Genetics, Metabolic Medicine, Obesity, Diabetes/Endocrinology and Lipids). Our division delivers around half of the outpatient activity and a third of the surgical activity across the hospital and runs 13 wards.

The Associate Director of Operational Planning and Projects will work alongside divisional colleagues in addition to working collaboratively with corporate team leaders across Strategy, Major Projects, Improvement and Transformation, the Operational Programme Delivery Team and Finance. Under the direction of the Triumvirate this role is expected to lead, support and manage the delivery of complex programmes of work including strategy and analysis, efficiency and productivity, business planning, investment cases, major project business case development, programme initiation and delivery, system and regional engagement to deliver on the latest NHSEI Guidance/NHS LTP for integrated care.

Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH) is excited to offer a newly created post which will combine a dynamic food service and inpatient project role alongside a clinical caseload comprised of acute medicine and elderly care which will align with the project work. This role will offer a range of development opportunities at Ward and Trust level with involvement in shaping and leading on nutrition standards, policies, procedures, quality improvements and education programmes.

This Band 5 to Band 6 development role will suit an individual who is passionate about driving change, an innovative thinker with outstanding communication skills who is keen to challenge themselves with leadership and project work across several Divisions alongside the Dietetic Service Lead.

The clinical element of this role will be within a specialist team of Dietitians working at CUH which will offer you exposure, training and CPD within our thriving Dietetic Department.

We offer a preceptorship programme to support and develop newly qualified Dietitian with training and supervision opportunities as they start work in the NHS.

Work with key stakeholders, e.g. clinical staff, Speech and Language Therapist, Nurses, Doctors, students, Patient Catering, Hotel Services, Food Safety, Infection Control, Communications, Procurement, PALS, Trust Senior Management Team, food and drink suppliers, etc. to ensure continuous improvement patient food services and nutritional care at ward level. Advocating for food services at all levels across the Trust.

To support the Dietetic Services Manager in the development, implementation and evaluation of catering services for Inpatients. Be actively involved in menu planning and analysis in line with current guidelines.

To support the Dietetic Services Manager in taking forward projects focusing on quality improvement of nutrition provision across the Trust, including staff wellbeing and sustainability initiatives regarding nutrition provision.

To provide an inpatient service to acute medicine and elderly patients across a variety of Wards within CUH. Make appropriate direct decisions regarding nutritional therapies and advice on medication changes where they impact on nutritional status. Be responsible for the provision of complex dietary therapy in this patient group.
