The client is looking for a technically minded Project Manager, based in Edinburgh, who has demonstrable experience working on financial data projects.
The candidate must have worked in a product development environment.
Experience working with financial services organisations like LBG, NatWest and others would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
Working with Product Management to define project scope, timelines and schedules to ensure on-time delivery of key products and services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive project roadmaps that outline milestones, deliverables and key dependencies.
Manage resource allocations, ensuring that projects are adequately staffed and delivered within agreed timelines.
Identify and implement strategies to mitigate risks, dependencies and issues, minimising impact to project schedule and budget.
Build strong relationships with business owners to understand their needs and manage expectations throughout the product & project lifecycle.
Participate in strategic planning sessions to identify new business opportunities and enhance operational efficiency.
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team and with stakeholders.
Skills and Experience
Proven experience leading a highly technical, cross-functional team, preferably within a product setting.
Experience delivering solutions and managing development teams throughout the full product lifecycle from discovery to deployment and operations.
Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and JIRA.
Knowledge of software engineering methodologies and the SDLC, with the ability to adapt project management approaches as needed while managing scope and cost.
Strong emotional intelligence skills that allow for effective team motivation, conflict resolution and collaboration.
Ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
What you'll get in return
You'll receive a 6-month contract paying £510 per day.
