Duties and responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of Business Machine Mechanic are as follows:

• Reviewing and testing of machines, equipment and instruments to diagnose faults
• Adjusting, repairing, and replacing worn and defective parts and wiring, and maintaining machines, equipment and instruments
• Test operational functionality and adjusting machines and equipment
• To be successful in this role, the candidate must have at least 2 years of experience.
• Experience or understanding working with large machinery
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive, and have a proven ability to come up with workable solutions

Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Install, maintain, and repair a range of office equipment, including photocopiers, digital multi-functional copier, scanners, printers and software packages.
- Troubleshooting equipment and diagnosing faulty machines, equipment, instruments and control systems to diagnose faults.
- Implementing preventative maintenance measures to enhance equipment longevity.
- Reassembles, test operates and adjusts equipment.
- Collaborating with other team members and users to enhance system performance procedures to prevent malfunctions.
- Replacing damaged or obsolete components in machinery.
- Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations in the workplace.
- Documenting and maintaining records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.

To be considered you will need a level of skill commensurate with an AQF Certificate III or higher qualification and at least two years of relevant post-qualification employment experience OR at least 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience.

You will also need:
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in servicing of mono and colour digital printing products.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Good working knowledge of networks, PC's, software, and operating systems, within a print/scan environment.
- Clear verbal communication skills and exceptional customer service ethic.
- A professional image with personal attributes of honesty, reliability, and enthusiasm.
- A current and Valid Driver's Licence.
- A Restricted Electrical Licence is desirable.
