We have a great Estates team delivering a full range of services relating to building, engineering and refurbishment works as part of the Trusts Capital Programme. Please refer to the appended Job Description for full details, the following is a brief summary of the key duties / responsibilities. Also appended for further reference is a person specification: Assist with the full range of duties in the implementation of building and engineering works as part of the Trusts Capital Programme. Assist the Head of Capital Development and Senior Capital Project Managers on major projects, taking lead responsibility as directed. Prepare/oversee designs for project works in accordance with NHS Health Technical Memorandum (HTMs) and Health Building Notes (HBNs), British Standards and all current legislation. Take the technical lead on identified issues related to the management of Estates, Building and Engineering works and providing accurate up to date advice as required. Develop and maintain systems and processes to promote a healthy, safe and secure working environment, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate documentation and reporting any concerns. Provide and receive complex information. Communicate estates policy, technical information to senior managers, high level negotiations with contractors, consultant parties, local authority officers and other bodies. Maintain a close and effective working relationship with the Estates & Facilities Teams to achieve an effective and integrated E & F service. Act as Project Lead and oversee staff/consultants within the projects team. Appoint, manage and monitor external consultants and contractors. Be responsible for ensuring that all user briefings are carried out in a fashion that ensures the design solution fully reflects all clinical, functional and operational requirements of the users. Be responsible for day-to-day supervision, checking and evaluating work of capital projects, assisting the Senior Capital Project Managers in ensuring these are correctly supervised (in terms of construction work) on site. Undertake/commission a range of estates condition surveys and audits in specialist areas such as asbestos, town and country planning.

The post holder will be expected to work autonomously with a portfolio of initiatives, managing their own time and workload with guidance and supervision from peers as and when required. Support the planning and delivery of effective and efficient wider programmes of work in order to drive continuous quality improvement and transformational change, with a leading role in specific initiatives. Initiate projects, using quality improvement methodology from concept through to operational delivery, developing clear/robust plans, analysing data and using robust evidence to demonstrate the effectiveness of improvement. Apply a range of quality improvement methodology in order to develop and understand opportunities and constraints to service delivery. Develop strong collaborative working relationships and wide networks with internal and external stakeholders to support the delivery of transformation/improvement and/or redesign programmes. Prepare and manage workshops, with an expectation of delivering presentations to varied forums (all levels of forums, including Boards and Steering Groups).

Show effective communication skills, maintaining confidentiality at all times. Ability to communicate positively with key stake holders and external providers to foster good relationships Ensure patients needs are assessed and ongoing care is effectively implemented. Maintain accurate records and documentation both written & electronic. Take responsibility of own learning maintaining mandatory training, appraisal & professional registration requirements. Active participation in improving other professionals understanding & learning regarding patient flow and discharge planning. Comply with CCICP policies & procedures, including responding to safeguarding concerns appropriately. Deputise for the leadership team when needed, demonstrating effective clinical leadership, organising other team members. Provide pastoral support to junior members of the team, including the expanding GNA service.

What we do. 

Due to the success of our bread sites, we are expanding our engineering team and have a fantastic opportunity for an Engineering Planner to join our busy food manufacturing facilities in Cheshire. Our 2 bread sites based in Crewe and Nantwich make specialty hand-crafted flatbreads, baguettes, doughballs and ciabattas for customers including Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Sainsburys.

About the role. 
This role will suit an experienced Planning Engineer or an Engineer with exposure to maintenance planning or Engineering Planning.

Accountabilities:


- Comply with Bakkavor SHE and all statutory Safety, Health and Environment requirements.
- Manage and maintain the CMMS system to ensure engineering work orders are planned, allocated and resourced effectively.
- Ensure follow up work orders are planned & resourced.
- Maintain a ‘live’ maintenance system by ensuring the PPMs are reviewed, adapted and continually improved.
- Provide support and back-up to the Maintenance Manager as required
- Manage contractors where required.
- Ensuring that all H&S procedures, engineering best practices are adhered to at all times.
- Manage the compliance register and actions relating to engineering through the planned maintenance system.
- Liaise with the planning function to ensure maintenance time is allocated to meet the plan.
- Generate reports as required to support the engineering and Senior Management teams.
- Support the development of the CMMS system by liaising with other sites and the CMMS system provider.


About you. 


- Knowledge of engineering planning.
- Previous maintenance or engineering experience – manufacturing environment preferable.
- Self-managing
- Must be able to work under own supervision or as part of a team.
- Flexible working attitude.
- Sound communication / training skills with ability to apply these when under pressure.
- Ability to work alongside people with diverse skills and understanding.
- Methodical record keeping is essential.
- Good level of computer skills – (Microsoft office – Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook).

SERVICE DELIVERY The Transformation and Improvement Manager is responsible for the end to end delivery of allocated projects to time, on budget and the appropriate levels of quality in accordance with the appropriate Board To support ongoing work around improvement capability and cultural change to ensure a sustainable improvement workforce across the organisation. Lead the planning and initiation of programmes and projects ensuring the Trusts Improvement Matters approach is followed and the correct governance is in place. This should be carried out in line with lesson learnt from previous programmes and projects, whilst adhering to the strategic direction. Facilitate the definition of programme and project scope, goals and deliverables and develop business case details to enable selection of options where appropriate. These should include a cost/benefit analysis for each option as appropriate include Defining project products and tasks in order to develop full scale project plans and resource requirements.
