Responsibilities:
Planning, timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials.
Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions.
Ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable levels.
Coordinate with finance/accounting on matters involving inventory-carrying costs.
Review and plan requirements for acceptable inventory.
May work with customers in auditing customer inventory levels and with internal and external vendors to comply with inventory policies.
Process purchase requisitions, purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers.
Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity.
Manage new product material flow for projects.
Manage the entire materials process from concept to final release for moderate to very complex projects.
Determine engineering needs, select the most appropriate suppliers, and work with suppliers to ensure requirements are met. Focus includes risk assessment for demands from internal and external customers, with the intent to minimize inventory exposure.
May negotiate contracts; responsible for all components being available on time and ready to use.
Conduct make or buy analysis prior to making outsourcing decisions.
Requirements:
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Product Management, Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
Good academic standing with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
Establish trust-based relationships and work effectively with diverse teams
Flexible and adaptable mindset who thrives in a results-driven culture
