We are recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant with AAT Level 3 ideally to join a well established food production company based in Hereford with flexibility to work from home 1 day per week.
This is a permanent full time role working Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm offering a salary of £30-35k per annum plus benefits.
As Assistant Management Accountant you will report into the Site Accountant ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the finance function and accurate tiely weekly and monthly management reporting. The role will involve the following:
- Lead the preparation and completion of weekly financial results (supported by Site Accountant), presenting results with commentary to the General Manager and Finance Business Partner.
- Support in preparation of the period end close for the Milling Operations (including External Mills)
- Operational Monthly packs reporting financial and operational results explaining variances to budget and forecast.
- Work with the Managers to understand cost base trends and realistic target objectives
- Support the Mills teams in ensuring good financial control is maintained over stocks, aligning all three sites weekly stock variance reporting
- To not just produce numbers but offer support/guidance in ways to improve performance
- Oversee the collation of Milling Financial KPIS
- Work closely with the Administration Manager to ensure timely weekly close offs of transactions
We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in an Assistant Management Accountant role or similar
- AAT Qualified (or equivalent) or Part Qualified Studier CIMA / ACCA
- Solid Management Accounting knowledge
- Comfortable working with multiple IT systems
- Good Excel skills including Vlookups, pivot tables and data analysis.
- Knowledge of Oracle or Mtech desirable
- Management Accounting experience gained within the food or Agricultural industry advantageous
