Role Purpose

The peripatetic role is predominately to include the provision of emergency and unplanned cover to schools (mainly primary). To undertake ad hoc work ensuring and promoting continuity and generic working practices. Have an extensive working knowledge of school admin processes and procedures is required. The role will be required to be flexible and provide support across the school estate and therefore a driving license is essential.

Supporting the Business

To contribute to the development of the HR plan aligned to the service delivery objectives and standards required by the Lead Employer Service.

Anticipate the impact of external changes on the workforce and develop effective solutions and strategies to support the changing environment.

Provide management/workforce information as requested to enable the development of workforce plans.

Represent the service at various meetings and stakeholder events as required within our 6 NHSE regions.

About the Opportunity

JOB SUMMARY

Provide a summary of the job’s primary function: The Department of Bioengineering is seeking a driven, dynamic professional to become an Administrative and Project Assistant. This person will serve as the primary point of contact for all essential matters pertaining to the Department Chair, and act as a liaison between the Chair and the College of Engineering’s executive team, department leadership team, external partners, and other stakeholders. Job Summary

Faculty and instructors are responsible for curriculum, teaching, service, scholarship, and related administrative activities that support the mission, vision, and values of the university.

The College of Arts and Humanities at Lindenwood University invites applications for an Instructor/Assistant Professor of Music.

Qualified applicants will possess a Master's degree  (DMA or PhD preferred) in Music Business or a closely related field with specialization in Music Business and Entrepreneurship. The successful candidate will be expected to teach 4 courses (12 credit hours) each semester in the Music Business and Entrepreneurship curriculum. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching online. All Lindenwood faculty members are expected to advise and mentor students, continue to develop their expertise through research and scholarship, and participate in faculty governance and campus life.

The Instructor/Assistant Professor of Music is a full-time, 9-month faculty position that will begin August 15, 2024. Review of applications will begin February 5 and will continue until the position is filled.

• Three or more years of teaching experience at the college or university level, and preparedness to teach Music Theory, is preferred.

SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of the Center for Community Engagement, the AmeriCorps Program Assistant Project Coordinator provides leadership in the development and implementation of community-engaged opportunities, services, advocacy, and research as it relates to University AmeriCorps initiatives. This position provides overall administrative support for AmeriCorps programs housed in the Center for Community Engagement; develops leadership in AmeriCorps initiatives; coordinates risk management and evaluation activities related to AmeriCorps program(s); furthering institutionalization of processes and infrastructure for community engagement at the University.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Assist with grant development and grant management of AmeriCorps programs.

• Assist with the coordination, placement, and supervision of members enrolled in AmeriCorps programs at the University and participating in community service projects in the field.

• Assist with budget management to support program operations.

• Implement technology-based system tracking for all aspects of AmeriCorps.

• Participate in the implementation of faculty development initiatives related to service-learning, community engaged learning, and scholarship of engagement.

• Compile, summarize and analyze statistical and other program data and develop findings, conclusions, and recommendations that support the mission and goals of program activities.

• Develop public relations materials to enhance the AmeriCorps image that can be circulated to potential funding organizations.

• Assist with writing internal and external operation and evaluative reports.

• Establish and maintain communications and cooperative working relationships with MSU administrators, faculty, staff, students and the public in order to accomplish the goals of AmeriCorps at MSU.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED: 

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

• Minimum of two years of experience in higher education, higher education administration, community-based learning, non-profit administration, student leadership development, AmeriCorps or other service-based organizations or related field.

• Knowledge and experience required of national service programs and community-engaged learning in higher education. 

• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with community-based organizations, students, and faculty.

PREFERRED:

• Respect for and ability to work with diverse populations

• Ability to choose priorities among competing demands.

• Proven oral, written, and project management skills.

• Availability to work outside of normal hours, evenings and/or weekends in the performance of assigned responsibilities.
