ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Wine Sales Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through the acquisition of new clients in our newly launched Friends & Family program but also maintaining strong relationships with existing accounts and leverage on Le Club FICOFI Advisors (LCFAs) Members portfolio to create synergies between the two Business Units. This role will focus on expanding the company’s presence in APAC as a priority but could be extended globally depending on future opportunities while contributing to the overall commercial strategy. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, the position requires a highly motivated individual with a deep passion for wine, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:
1. Business Development & Sales:
- Identify, target, and secure new growth opportunities in collaboration with Le Club FICOFI Advisors Members’ portfolios (by referral), as a main priority, or through different organizations or circles of wine lovers (Banking, Doctors, Private equities etc.)
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers
- Execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in Asia
2. Account Management:
- Manage and grow existing client accounts by understanding their needs and providing tailored wine solutions.
- Work closely with key accounts to develop long-term partnerships.
- Ensure timely follow-up and excellent customer service to sustain client satisfaction.
3. Market Research & Strategy:
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to identify new opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with the Commercial Director to develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies.
- Provide regular feedback on market trends and consumer preferences to adjust product offerings accordingly.
4. Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional activities and campaigns to drive sales.
- Liaise with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate product delivery.
5. Reporting & Performance:
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for the Commercial Director, providing insight into performance against targets.
- Track and manage KPIs related to sales growth, client acquisition, and revenue generation.
KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in business school (NUS, NTU, SMU etc.) or MBA
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in wine sales or business development in with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
· Strong knowledge of the wine industry, including key trends, products, and competitors.
· Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
· Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
· Self-motivated, result-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
· Experience working in Singapore or the Asia-Pacific market is preferred.
Additional Requirements:
· WSET Level 3 or equivalent certification is a plus.
· Willingness to travel locally and regionally as required.
· Passion for wine and a strong understanding of different wine regions, varietals, and tasting profiles.
· Fluency in English (Cantonese or Mandarin is a plus)
