UKAEA is at the forefront of research into nuclear fusion, the clean and sustainable energy source of the future. As a Strategic People Business Partner, you will play a vital role in supporting their mission by partnering with directors, senior leaders, and key stakeholders to drive their people agenda forward.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement people plans and solutions aligned with departmental priorities.
* Provide expert advice on people management and development, leveraging the resources of the People Department.
* Support change management, organizational design, and development projects.
* Proactively identify and address key people issues, including resourcing and capability, within your designated departments/programs.
* Act as a member of the Senior Management Team, ensuring effective communication and alignment of people strategies.
* Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and present solutions to achieve organizational objectives.
* Navigate a unionized environment with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, private sector partners, and academic institutions.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
* CIPD Qualified to L7 (Diploma) is desirable
* Extensive experience in strategic business partnering within complex environments.
* Proficiency in advising on EDI (Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion), Pay and Reward, Organizational Development and Design (OD&D), Employee Relations (ER), and Learning and Development (L&D).
* Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with a focus on coaching and developing others.
* Ability to challenge robustly and communicate effectively to diverse audiences.
* Creative problem-solving skills to support organizational goals.
* Comfortable using data sets to establish trends and inform strategic decisions.
