Your New RoleIn your new role as a Project Escort, you will be working alongside the operational security team. You will have many different responsibilities, which include escorting contractors as they carry out maintenance work around the prison, visitor and toolkit checks, main gate duties and vehicle searches. You will also ensure the safety of visitors when assisting them around the site, while making sure no unauthorised items enter the Prison.

Shift pattern: Monday - Friday 8:00-16:00 pm (potentially slightly different per site). It is a temporary contract on an ongoing basis.

What you’ll do day to day:

Firstly, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of the PECS Plan, which means you’ll ensure that the schedule for the movement of custodies is delivered. You’ll work closely with our crews & establishments (Prisons, Courts etc) to ensure custodies are transported on time and in a safe & secure manner. Combining data sources such as court & prison locations, crew routes & trackers, crew resources etc and further working with crews and establishments you’ll then produce robust schedules to ensure the safe, secure and timely return of custodies to their destination! It doesn’t always run smoothly though, so you’ll need to be quick on your feet to adapt to any unpredictable changes and deal with any incidents or challenges that occur throughout the day!

What you need to do the role:

If you are detail oriented, highly organised, resilient with exceptional communication skills, then we want to hear from you! Ideally, you’ll have previous experience in a similar role, when you have been involved in organising large scale logistics / scheduling plans in a large geographical area! You’ll be computer literate with the ability to quickly assimilate large volumes of data/information. Experience is not essential as we will provide full training, however if you do have experience in a similar role, it would be highly beneficial.

Technical Project Manager

Salary: £48,000 - £53,000 per annum

We are seeking a motivated and skilled individual with excellent planning, management, and communication skills with a strong awareness of the market environment. Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Technical Services Manager to develop and manage the annual Forward Maintenance Plan (FMP) and budget, ensuring delivery within budget using internal and subcontractor resources.
Support and oversee Lifecycle Works Supervisors, securing funding and ensuring value for money (VFM) with stakeholders and contractors.
Create and manage Lifecycle Work Packages, ensuring specifications meet requirements and works are costed and delivered effectively.
Ensure all works minimize energy and environmental impact, following industry best practices.
Track and manage FMP activities, budgets, and records, conducting periodic inspections to ensure safe and compliant delivery.
Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders, addressing deviations, and reviewing priorities to align with infrastructure needs.
Oversee handover of completed works to operational teams and maintain strong collaboration across departments.

The Ideal Candidate:
Essential
Building Services degree or equivalent experience H&S qualification.
Experience of secure and critical environments.
Experience of operating within a PPP/PFI.

About the role

Reporting to the Public Health Business Support & Planning Officer, this is a supporting role working within the Business Support Team to provide administrative support to the professional teams of Public Health & Wellbeing, within the Children, Adults and Health department.
The post holder will collate and analyse information for reports and maintain accurate records, interpreting data and drafting content for use by others. They will use strong communication skills to liaise with customers and relay issues and queries promptly where necessary. They will research information within areas of service specialism and act as a main point of contact for customers and colleagues including stakeholders and partnership agencies.
The role supports the division’s finances by using the council’s financial systems to input data, purchasing goods/services, recoding and processing petty cash claims. The role also provides administrative support which will include word processing and minute taking at meetings.
Key Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to managers ensuring work carried out is efficient and procedures are effectively implemented.
Act as a main point of contact for the service area and provide effective communication when dealing with enquiries and information requests.
Collate and maintain records and analyse information to ensure accurate statements are produced and data is retrieved from computerised systems and interpreted.
Research information within your area of service specialism and collate evidence for presentation in reports. This may include drafting sections of documents for use by others.
Interact with customers, colleagues and partners to maintain strong working relationships.
Communicate specific concerns, queries and issues and ensure they are accurately and promptly relayed when necessary.
Accurately record and also assist in the monitoring and maintaining of budgets/financial information/resources.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience
1. You will have experience of working in an environment related to the service area or within a similar role.
2. You will hold a minimum qualification of 3 grade C’s at GCSE (or equivalent qualification) including English and Maths, or you will hold equivalent relevant experience.
3. You will have good literacy skills and able to write letters and contribute to providing information for reports.
