Gas Planner
Chester based with a balance of home and office working
£27,992 per year

We have an opportunity for a Gas Planner to join our Gas Planning team, based in Chester. The Gas Planners are responsible for planning the work for Gas Operatives across areas in England and Scotland including scheduling gas servicing and repair works. The ideal candidate would have previous experience within scheduling work and talking to a range of customers. If you are a highly motivated and organised individual who thrives in a busy environment, this could be the role for you.
The role is office based, however following the successful completion of a 6-month probation period there will be an option for hybrid working.
The role of Gas Planner will include:
- Monitoring Operatives’ diaries to ensure efficiencies are gained and best routes for Operatives are taken
- Raising follow on repairs and allocating work
- Working from generic mailboxes and actioning emails
- Handling calls from Operatives, internal and external customers relating to gas works
- Actioning and booking emergency and urgent repairs in line with Sanctuary policy and procedures
- Communicating with customers in a timely manner concerning general queries
- Scheduling gas servicing and repair works, using our Scheduling system
Skills and experiences:
- Some experience within a similar role
- Experience of using multiple systems and processes to effectively schedule a field workforce
- Working knowledge of relevant regulations, legislation and good practice
- Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads in a fast paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal and customer care skills
- Ability to extract and interpret data from a number of sources along with analysing and diagnosing problems using multiple systems and implementing effective solutions
