Place subcontract & material orders to satisfy the requirements of our contracts to satisfy technical, programme, cost and quality compliances.

Monitoring of site labour and keeping a record of site activities, numbers of operatives / sub-contractors on site and cost checks against the tender estimates

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and proficient Business Support Officer to work with Public Health and Health and Justice commissioners. With the SID, the Southern Region seeks to make a transformational change in how renewals work is delivered, by merging the capabilities of Network Rail and its supply chain to develop an integrated and coordinated approach to delivery.

Key accountabilities

Key duties will include:

• Responsible for advising the Project Team on the construction of Civils works
• Responsible for ensuring that all Civils activities are installed to the approved design and is compliant with client and industry standards

• Proven experience in Civils & Construction works including an appropriate period of time acting in a Managerial or Supervisory capacity.
• Proven experience in railway Civils Engineering and construction including associated railway standards.

About the role

We have an exiting opportunity for an Area Planner to join the team on a 12 month FTC to cover maternity. You will provide a high quality, planning and co-ordination service for Responsive Repairs. • Provide effective planning of regional operative's diaries working closely with the regional operational team to support the achievement of operational KPIs.
• Coordinate the efficient scheduling of maintenance repairs for operating needs and customer requirements within the area.
• Maintain the scheduling system and provide internal and external customers with timely and accurate information.
• Liaise with customer service colleagues in relation to appointments and updating of all systems when operatives report issues.
• Ensure that all written, electronic and telephone enquiries are answered and resolved effectively in accordance with agreed service standards and timescales.
• Work closely with the commercial team in relation to subcontractor's purchase orders and variation orders to ensure continued value for money and commercial procedures are followed.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR regulations when processing customer data.
• Take appropriate Health and Safety measures to ensure personal safety and the safety of our customers and colleagues.
• Support the protection and safety of our customers by ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed and safeguarding concerns are appropriately identified, monitored, and reported.

Essential:

• Experience of working in a customer focused environment.

Your new company
You will be joining a main contractor working on schemes in the East Midlands region. This multi-accredited and established contractor has a strong pipeline of work in the water sector, and they offer excellent opportunities for progression due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Project Manager to join their team.

Your new role
As Project Manager you will be based out of their Derby office and be responsible for, but not limited to, producing financial forecasts, monitoring and controlling project costs and cost reporting, delivering projects from design phase through to completion, developing and maintaining construction programmes, chairing weekly site meetings, ensuring detailed site diaries/records are completed as well as reviewing progress, budget resources and forward planning. This role involves a mixture of office- and site-based work.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have previous experience working on infrastructure schemes within the water industry in a management capacity and hold a CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid qualification. In addition, you will have a good understanding of NEC contracts and be able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders proficiently. Finally, you will have strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
