What are the day-to-day responsibilities of the role:

JOB PURPOSE

• Promote, deliver, and facilitate the Multiply project by delivering training to service users to promote financial resilience, develop or increase financial and numeracy skills.

KEY RESULT AREAS

• Contribute to corporate and statutory objectives to prevent homelessness by supporting households owed a statutory homeless duty to improve numeracy skills, personal budgeting and achieve tenancy sustainment.
• To achieve, as far as is practicably possible, financial and digital inclusion for people to enable them to manage their own financial arrangements in the future.
• To network and liaise effectively with the housing advice & prevention team, other relevant departments, external organisations and groups to develop strategies to address issues such as numeracy, budgeting, debt, income maximisation, food and fuel poverty, savings and welfare reform.

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Project Engineer to join our client in Newport - the company is a global specialty materials company that produces a broad range of products found in items people use every day. With the purpose of enhancing the quality of life in a material way, working with customers to deliver innovative products and solutions while maintaining a commitment to safety and sustainability.

Project Engineer Benefits:

Project Engineer Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Manage small capital projects from conception and ensure the approval, design, procurement, construction and commissioning of capital projects, ensuring that designs are safe, efficient, maintainable and controllable.
* Accountable for ensuring that assigned projects comply with all relevant internal & external standards/requirements.
* Provide the Project Team Manager (or designee) with expenditure forecasts for assigned projects.
* Undertake the chemical/process engineering design for assigned projects.
* Actively undertake safety participation activities and assigned site safety actions.
* Provide occasional incident/accident investigation support.
* Ensuring process safety plant information is kept up to date.

Project Engineer Qualifications and Skills:
* The ideal candidate will be a degree qualified engineer, preferably with a degree in Chemical Engineering.
* Project Management skills.
* Working in multi-disciplinary teams.
* Chemical/process engineering design.
* High degree of initiative and ability to plan, prioritise, and work with minimal supervision.
* Experience within heavy industry.
