Your new role
This is initially a 9 month Fixed Term Contract, to deliver a Project within the Global Distribution function. Significant opportunities for ongoing contract extension or transfer to permanent in due course.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a demonstrable track record of successful project delivery within distribution networks. Ideally you will be Prince 2 or PMI qualified, and any experience in highly regulated sectors (eg medical / pharma / aero / defence ...) is also an advantage. You will be familiar with Gantt charts and other project delivery tools and techniques, and be comfortable influencing stakeholders across multiple functions, driving collaborative efforts to ensure the right outcomes. You will be commercially aware, with strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to priorise effectively in a complex business environment. Experience of data analytics is also useful.

The Senior Finance Business Partner role offers the chance to take ownership of pricing strategies and lead financial decision-making on bids that generate up to £500M in revenue. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and programme teams, driving financial modelling and ensuring that their pricing approach remains robust and fit for purpose. This is a strategic role with a direct impact on success in a highly dynamic sector, where you will provide financial insight and independent challenge at every stage.

What will the Senior Finance Business Partner role involve?

• Lead financial decision-making on bid pricing, using financial modelling to inform strategy.
• Maintain and update the organization-wide pricing model to ensure it supports business needs.
• Enhance the impact of financial reporting on business performance by providing insightful analysis.
• Link financial reports to business strategies, delivering actionable insights.
• Implement or improve commercial procedures to meet operational, financial, and commercial targets.
• Collaborate with senior managers to develop ambitious business plans and maintain strong partnerships.
• Support and represent the Head of Finance in senior leadership meetings and key stakeholder reviews.
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance and provide independent financial challenge to key decisions.
• Drive efficiency, cost control, and adherence to financial controls across the business.
• Support commercial negotiations for major customer and supplier contracts, ensuring financial clarity and consistency.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align business cases and contracts with organizational commitments.

Suitable Candidate for the Senior Finance Business Partner vacancy:
Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience in a Finance Business Partnering role.
• Proven track record of delivering financial insights that drive business outcomes.
• Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
• Ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills and commercial awareness.
• Requires prior experience in bids, advanced Excel and financial modelling skills, and the ability to take ownership of pricing and bid management processes.

Qualifications:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
• Extensive experience in financial analysis, planning, and reporting.
