We are currently recruiting for an IT Business Analyst, Warehousing & Logistics to work within our IT Demand to Delivery Department-you will be based in Market Drayton. It’s a fantastic opportunity to join an exciting team; we’re looking for an experienced individual to help us to ensure an optimal and sustainable IT service delivery through working in projects, maintaining systems, designing and implementing new IT solutions, and aligning the IT part of the overall business with the strategic initiatives of the organization in areas of Warehousing and Logistics.
Your challenge for the Business Analyst: -
- Analyse complex business problems and business needs related to warehousing, inventory management and logistics processes and systems. Identify gaps and opportunities and propose solutions that align with the business objectives and IT strategy. Improve the overall quality & efficiency of services and business operations.
- Facilitate the communication and collaboration between the business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors throughout the project/change lifecycle to ensure alignment and integration of IT systems and solutions.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Design, configure, test, and deploy IT systems and solutions that meet business needs and comply with IT standards and policies. Conduct testing, validation, and quality assurance of the IT solutions, and ensure that they meet the expected outcomes and standards.
- Work in projects to deliver new/improved IT solutions for WMS, TMS, and Inventory Management ensuring execution in time, budget and quality; take the overall Lead role in IT projects.
- Monitor and evaluate the ongoing performance and effectiveness of IT solutions and recommend enhancements and improvements. Provide full Application Lifecycle Management, project work, Incident & Problem management and Change management for Warehouse systems, Transport Management systems, and Inventory Management systems.
- Provide training & mentoring, documentation, and support to the end users and IT staff on the IT solutions.
Key skills & experience for the IT Business Analyst: -
- University degree in a relevant subject.
- German speaking would be considered an advantage.
- You must have previous experience as an IT Technical Business Analyst, in the warehousing & logistics domain in a FMCG company.
- Strong knowledge and skills in business analysis and requirements elicitation, system analysis, process mapping & design, project management, and documentation.
- Skilled in IT systems design, configuration, testing, and deployment, using various methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, possessing the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with WMS for automated and/or manual operated warehouses.
- SAP WM/EWM and/or MM-IM experience considered beneficial.
- Experience with Transport Management systems and Route Planning & Optimisation.
- Experienced in Inventory Management systems and technologies. E.g. barcoding, RFID, etc.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Basic knowledge of leading a team
- Full UK Driving license is mandatory; willingness to travel.
- Excellent M365, Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Provide application support, if required, outside normal business hours.
