What you will be doing as Regulatory Reporting Business Partner

- Self-educating to become regulatory experts in the areas assigned to them.
- Acting as a proxy for our external regulators, Ofwat, the Environment Agency and Drinking Water Inspectorate, by specifying and providing expert support and advice to business units on what is required to meet Thames Water's external reporting requirements.
- Assisting in the preparation of regulatory compliance submissions, as necessary
- Interfacing between Thames Water and its external regulators on key matters of regulatory reporting so that overall reporting requirements are clear and met.
- Influencing both, internally and externally, such that regulatory outcomes are aligned with our corporate aims, objectives and transformation plan.
- Partnering with business functions to make sure that relevant price review reporting requirements are adopted to achieve appropriate outcomes.
- Acting as internal ‘client’ with relevant business functions to identify and resolve potential issues with ad-hoc and year-end reporting.
- Working with the providers of internal regulatory monthly reporting providers so that ‘in-year’ reporting risks are appropriately identified and resolved.

You will:

- Lead the design of water and wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects through the outline and detailed design, construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Be responsible for the process design of your project including, but not limited to, assessing Thames Water process calculations and authoring calculations, mass balance diagrams, and supporting HAZOP studies.
- Coordinate the project team comprising Electrical, Mechanical and Civil designers and ensure designs are completed on programme, within budget, and to the quality defined by Thames Water specifications.
- Occasionally visit sites across the Thames Valley Region (costs incurred are recoverable).


Candidate Specification :

- IChemE-accredited degree in Process or Chemical Engineering.
- Chartered member of the IChemE or Associate member able to demonstrate progress made in working toward Chartership.
- Outline and detailed design experience of water or wastewater projects.
- Knowledge of the Designer or Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our Developer Services team.

What you will be doing as the Senior Project Manager; You will take ownership for complex projects and motivate a multi-disciplinary project teams to develop best value solutions to briefed studies and projects. You will be responsible for the delivery of a varied range of water and wastewater projects for Developers, Infrastructure Companies, Highway Authorities and other transport authorities. These will range from £250,000 in value through to £15 million.

This is predominantly an office-based role, but you will be required to travel across London to visit developers, construction sites and other Thames Water sites. Awareness of risks such as plant machinery, working at height, trench safety, noise and harmful materials will be needed.

Duties to include but not limited to:

- Deliver a portfolio of complex, high value projects.
- Ensure that projects are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards.
- Establish practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization.
- Drive to constantly improve health, safety and environmental performance within a portfolio of assigned projects.

What you should bring to the role:

As a Lead Planner you will be part of the Bio Recycling & Biosolids planning team and, working alongside Bio-Recycling, Biosolids, Transport Delivery and site operations teams to ensure Inventory holding plans are efficient and effectively implemented to guarantee high service levels at optimum cost.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our Developer Services team.

What you will be doing as the Senior Project Manager, you will lead and manage a team of up to 10 Project Managers to deliver a customer led programme in the Thames Valley region. Your team will be responsible for the delivery of a varied range of water and wastewater projects for Developers, Infrastructure Companies, Highway Authorities and other transport authorities. These will range from £250,000 in value through to £10 million.

This is predominantly an office-based role, but you will be required to travel across the Thames Valley area to visit developers, construction sites and other Thames Water sites. Awareness of risks such as plant machinery, working at height, trench safety, noise and harmful materials will be needed.

Duties to include but not limited to:

- Lead the project management and delivery teams to continually manage project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members and stakeholders.
- Ensure that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards.
- Establish practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization.
- Drive to constantly improve health, safety and environmental performance within a portfolio of assigned projects.
- Have excellent people and performance management skills, monitoring performance and staff development.
- Initiate and develop great communication and good relationships with key stakeholders.
- Drive a customer-focussed accountable culture in pursuit of excellent service to both internal and external customers.

What you should bring to the role:

- A proven track record as a people manager.
- Be educated to degree level, ideally in engineering or have achieved a recognized professional qualification in project management.
- Have extensive experience in the construction or utility industry within the project management environment - with evidence of leading multi-disciplinary teams.
- Ability to demonstrate effective leadership in building and sustaining a strong Health and Safety performance culture within the construction or utility industry.
- Hold a full UK driving licence as travelling to other sites is essential.
- An in-depth understanding of the development of design, construction, and operation of above and below ground projects is essential.
- Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment, demonstrating innovation and excellence.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to clearly interact with your team and our customers.
- Motivate and lead your team with a focus on improving performance and recognising development.
- Collaborate across multiple areas in order to achieve a common business objective.

Base Location: Hybrid - Clearwater Court - RG1 8DB.

Hours: Monday to Friday 36 hours per week.
