Key Responsibilities – Production Planner

This position is responsible for scheduling work orders for the designated value stream to support the site's on time delivery and inventory metrics. This includes the sequencing of the production schedule to maximize efficiencies , as well as creating the Master Production Schedule in line with capacity and customer demand. Duties • Balances current and future customer demand requirements with manufacturing and supplier capabilities/capacities to ensure completion of customer requirements on time and in full. •Develops Master Production Schedule for use in Materials Requirement Planning system to generate requirements for manufactured and purchased parts while ensuring desired inventory levels are maintained. •Responsible for analyzing, achieving, and sustaining Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) rules related to master scheduling. •Analyzes data, including enterprise requirements planning information and prepares reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to ensure optimal supply chain execution. • Lead Planner-to-Planner activities in the scheduling of inter/intra company demamd for designated suppliers • Responsible for designated Value Stream's Work Order Leading Indicators, including Action Message Management, WO On Time Release, Schedule Accuracy and MPS Stability. • Collaborates with SIOP Leader to ensure alignment with Master Production Schedules and SIOP.

You will be responsible for efficiently planning and coordinating of all production activities while ensuring optimal utilization of resources, on-time delivery. This is a very important role to the business.

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain production schedules and prioritize workload based on customer requirements, production capacity, and material availability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, manufacturing engineering, purchasing, and quality assurance to ensure smooth operations and meet performance goals.
Monitor daily production activities, analyse production data, and identify areas for improvement in order to drive efficiency and productivity.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
Proficient in using production planning software, excel (advanced) and ERP systems.

You will be responsible for the engineering design of new products and managing their development through from concept phase to production launch in their facility and those of their suppliers and partner manufacturers.

Thermal and mechanical design of various products.
Design verification against various European Directives and International Standards including the Pressure Equipment Directive and ASME VIII Div. I and II.
Complete product development lifecycle management from concept through development to production launch.
3D and 2D CAD design of products using PTC Creo 10.
Thermal design using in-house developed software.
Creation of products and structures within our ERP system, SAGE 1000.
Liaison with customers, suppliers, and all internal departments.
Visiting customer and supplier sites to investigate applications, progress projects and develop inter-company relationships.
Researching potential new product applications.
Investigation of new and alternative materials and construction methods.

Personal & Professional Skills:
Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering environment, ideally focussed on industrial products.
Proficient in the use of 3D CAD, preferably PTC Creo. Experience with other software including SolidWorks or Autodesk Fusion 360 will be considered.
Proficient using Microsoft Office, ideally including MS Project.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal are essential.
A can-do attitude and strong work ethic, both theoretical and practical.
UK Driving licence required.

Must be a British National and therefore eligible to work in the United Kingdom.

Monday-Thursday 8:15am-17:00pm, Friday 8:15am-14:15pm
