Accountabilities

Process lead for assigned projects and work packages.

Interpret customer requirements and flow to design, hardware selection and outsourced work packages.

Coordinate and provide technical input to project delivery team.

Coordinate sub-contractor work packages.

Person Specification

Formal qualification in an engineering discipline DESIRABLE

Proven experience delivering projects in the FMCG industry

My client is a long established, Leading, Regional Civil Engineering and Earthworks Contractor.

Due to planned growth and an influx of work in their Southern Region, they are looking to appoint, on a permanent basis, a Site Agent / Project Manager to work initially on a large earthworks and landscaping project located in the Yeovil area.

The Project Support officer will manage the effective and efficient provision of professional support services to the Programme Area and also to the wider programme or management team. What you will be doing…

In this dynamic role, you will be tasked with shaping the work scope for your contract or project package, carefully defining interfaces with other elements of the program. - Ensure timely delivery of the List of Deliverables (LOD) related to the scope of work.
- Implement the principles of Earned Value Management (EVM) and provide monthly progress reports to senior management.
- Review and assess Contractor’s applications for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Embrace the principles of Continuous Improvement, driving ongoing enhancements to project processes and outcomes.
- Facilitate the capture and dissemination of lessons learned and knowledge gained as standard practice.

As our next Senior Project Manager, you will bring a proven track record of delivering projects within technically complex and dynamic environments, ensuring safety, security, and environmental responsibility are maintained. Your expertise ideally extends to the Nuclear Energy sector or a similarly regulated environment, where your management skills shine bright. From project management to financial management, change management, and facilitation, you excel in every aspect. - Demonstrate solid understanding of managing contractors, consultants, and other advisors through large and complex construction projects in regulated environments, with expertise in NEC and FIDIC contracts.

The Opportunity…
At Hinkley Point C (HPC) we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK, providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our team managing the supply, transport, installation and testing of equipment that directly supports nuclear operations.

You will join a small team of professional project managers with direct responsibility for the installation of key parts of the project – the reactor pressure vessel, steam generators, coolant pumps and pressuriser. You will work with an expert team of contractors to ensure that the installation is completed on time, but most importantly to the very high-quality requirements we need.

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will support the Project Managers to ensure the effective delivery of activities in the programme to required safety, quality, time and cost targets, while recognising and managing the impacts of the programme on the wider Project.

What you’ll be doing…
- Assist and work under supervision on tasks required to support the Project Manager’s delivery of the project and contract scope for HPC.
- Has an awareness to develop, implement and provide ongoing support towards the use of management systems which will support delivery and quality of the outputs from the Project Controls Department,
including planning and document control processes.
- Participate in developing the relationships with key statutory stakeholders for the HPC project.

- Assist in securing the required resources to meet project requirements, ensuring the maintenance of SQEP for any assigned resource and promptly identifying any personnel shortfalls or issues within their
