The role
As a Project Controller, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary, where you will interpret and influence project performance across one of the submarine business units' key projects.

Day-to-day, you'll analyse and coordinate baseline management and performance management across elements of a project.

• Working across all project controls functions to ensure an integrated approach to scope / change management, project planning, cost management/earned value management and risk management
• Responsible for assuring project control inputs and outputs to governance forums
• Detailed performance management including provision of narratives and detailed bespoke analysis
• Ownership of any specific project control documentation
• Support the implementation of internal and external change to the baseline

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home.

Essential experience of the Project Controller:

• Proven experience of working within at least one Project Controls function.
• A broad understanding of Project Controls, specifically cost control, earned value, finance, scheduling, change, risk and estimating.
• Previous experience applying data analysis to a project environment.
• Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to engage across various stakeholder groups.
• Evidence of personal effectiveness and ability to use problem solving skills to drive results.

Qualifications for the Project Controller:

• APM PMQ / or equivalent experience

What you’ll be doing…

As a Business Integration Administrator, you will be accountable for triaging and resolving enquiries from our customers, including the investigation of issues, identification of resolutions and implementation of resolutions in a quick and accurate manner to ensure the service is maintained for the business and providing training and guidance to users.



Alongside this you will complete testing of interfaces and documentation of changes using an agile methodology. You will also support the maintenance of the Business Technology Services products and interfaces, following a roadmap of development to align with the strategic needs of the University.



This role will involve working collaboratively with all areas of the University and third parties to understand their products and processes. Successful collaboration will enable support of improvement and efficiency of existing integrations to match the evolving needs of the business. The Business Integration Administrator will play a crucial role in resolving issues and identifying improvements to deliver a better experience for our customers. The role will ensure that best practice for documentation, information governance and security and change control is maintained and developed.

Proven experience of supporting business systems and integrations.
Experience working with non-technical customers resolving and explaining complex issues
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex cross-system challenges.
Experience in carrying out regression and development testing and documenting results

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Project Manager to join the University’s Strategic Projects Team. This role will play a crucial part in supporting the delivery of multiple projects under a wider transformation programme.

As part of a small, dynamic team responsible for driving strategic change across the organisation, you will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of change initiatives, ranging in both size and complexity. From fast-paced, rapid improvement projects that span a few weeks to large-scale strategic programmes running over multiple years, you will lead projects across their full lifecycle. In this role, you will collaborate with senior leaders from various departments across our broad and complex organisation, helping to translate ideas into action. Join Gregory Distribution as a Business Continuity Planner to guarantee that business continuity planning is embraced as part of the organisational culture whilst making sure plans are developed, reviewed, and tested based on a risk assessment schedule. This role is based on a 12-month secondment.

The position of Business Continuity Planner involves:

• Identify and make recommendations for change and improvement to ensure business continuity and disaster recovery practices remain aligned to business needs.
• Support the design, planning and delivery of workshops, training, exercises, and presentations to a range of staff within operational teams, to promote effective business continuity and resilience planning.
• To prepare a monthly report outlining performance from the operational teams on adherence to project timelines as well as set up and record project timelines, records, and actions.
• To design a maintenance programme for the business continuity plans going forward.
• Develop processes and protocols covering the translation of business priorities into practical and actionable business continuity for all areas of the business and disaster recovery plans.
• Provide support to and work with a range of depot managers and central functions to achieve the effective delivery of a business continuity plan for their operational area.
• To chair & lead operational meetings to ensure project & information is delivered.

Desirable skills required for Business Continuity Planner:

• Level 4 or above qualification in either Business Continuity, Emergency planning, Risk Management, Business management or similar discipline. Working experience within a logistics business.
• Proven experience in the logistics industry, or demonstrable transferable skill set from an alternative industry.
• Knowledge of BCP professional practices as well as understanding of data analytical and reporting concepts helpful. Knowledge of Operational Resilience is an added advantage.

Essential skills required for Business Continuity Planner:

• Be able to demonstrate administrative and project management skills.
• Organisational skills and the ability to manage and prioritise work to comply with agreed deadlines and with minimal supervision.
• Ability to break down complex problems into simple terms, document findings in a manner that is understandable to someone who is not a Subject Matter Expert
• Well-developed problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with staff at all levels.
• A current driving licence and ability to stay away from home if required. You may be required to travel to different sites within the Gregory Group.
