Customer Service Team Administrator
Menzies Distribution are currently looking for a Transport Operator/Assistant Planner to join our busy team based Scunthorpe. The main purpose of this role is to be responsible for supporting our customer, drivers and colleagues throughout the business and have the knowledge to assist with movement of the transport plan as neccessary.
The Details:
• Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday
• Salary - £27,189.86k Per Annum / £13.07 Per Hour
• Hours: 06:00-14:00
• 28 Days Annual Leave inclusive of bank holidays
• Monthly Pay

Transport Operator/Assistant Planner Duties:
• Maintenance and Management of the Transport Management System (TMS)
• Ability to enter loads on Warehouse Planner
• Ensure effective and efficient use of driver and vehicle resources
• Ensuring customer requirements are administered in a timely, controlled and recorded manner
• Liaise, support and develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers
• Promote effective and efficient standards of work, in order to comply with transport legislation, company policy and Health & Safety legislation
• Managing Driver hours as per WTD rules
• To carry out investigations or incident reports in relation to any vehicle incidents when necessary
• Ensure all agency drivers are inducted correctly and Compliance is monitored
• Manage tachograph infringements to ensure full compliance
• Manage driver briefing / de-briefing including downloading driver digicards
• Co-ordinate drivers including managing holiday and sickness cover
• Preparing and submitting various KPI reports
• Record, monitor & be proactive in achieving improved fuel efficiency and better MPG
• Cross functional interaction (Warehouse / Drivers or Contractors / Customers)
Transport Operator/Assistant Planner Requirements:
• Valid Category C+E (Class 1) Drivers Licence with a maximum of 6 points, for insurance purposes
• Detailed understanding of the rules and regulation around drivers' hours
• Physically fit to meet the demands of a multi-drop driving role
• Previous experience working in a Transport Office
