At Gregory Distribution Ltd, we are currently seeking a Transport Operator Days for our site in Haverfordwest. This position will be working within the transport team and will involve all aspect of the transport administration processes and coordination of the day to day running of this busy contract.

The position of Transport Operator involves:

• Assist the management team to manage and motivate the drivers to ensure that staff and assets are used effectively to attain maximum performance in terms of commercial contract efficiency, profit and client service levels.
• Own the day to day running of the milk operation, including despatching the routes on time, monitoring work in progress and debriefing drivers.
• Own the day to day running of the TMS, APEX system (Haverfordwest Only) and the milk app processes aligned to these, to ensure the smooth running of the operation as a whole.
• To ensure that GDL and customers' paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain good working relationships with, and between, drivers and customers (including farmers) to ensure that any problems arising are handled amicably and through correct channels. You will also be required to work closely with our customer

• Provide regular reports to the management team on customer related and other relevant matters, making recommendations where relevant.
• Monitoring and auditing Health and Safety.
• Answering all queries via email, phone and face to face.
• Assisting in production of KPI's and daily statistics.
• Assist with compliance planning in line with company procedure.
• Direct assistance and support for breakdowns.
• CMS monitoring and complete driver feedback/actions
• Conduct gate checks

Essential Skills required:

• Previous experience of working within the milk collection environment is desirable.
• Leadership skills are essential as you will be managing a busy team.
• Previous customer service experience essential, over the telephone and on email.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate at all levels.
• Excellent organisational skills and prioritising workload.
• Working to deadlines.
• Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.

This is an initial 6 month contract role, with the scope in the long run to become a permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electronic drawings, diagrams, and schematics.


• Assemble electronic components and systems according to specifications and standards.


• Use hand tools and soldering equipment to solder and connect components.


• Inspect and test assembled electronic products to ensure functionality and quality.


• Troubleshoot and resolve assembly or component issues.


• Keep accurate records of assembly and test results.

Experience

• Proven experience in electronics assembly and manufacturing processes.


• Familiarity with IPC standards for electronics assembly.


• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and drawings.

Production Supervisor required by well-established and successful engineering company, to work at their site in Slough. The successful Production Supervisor will provide leadership, organise workload and ensure that quality standards are met.

Main Responsibilities Production Supervisor

• Planning and scheduling work to meet production objectives and targets, ensuring KPI’s and performance outputs are monitored and met.
• Leading and motivating a team of electronic assembly operatives.
• Creating and implementing operating processes and procedures.
• Reporting on management information and performance.
• Problem solving and continous improvement.
• Ensuring compliance to health and safety and quality standards.
• Assessing the performance of team members and providing training when required.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Production Supervisor

• A background within a similar role as a Production Supervisor / Team Leader/Manager. ideally gained within an electronic engineering/manufacturing or equivalent environment.
• Experience of analysing data and providing management reports.
• A confident communication style with the ability to influence others.
• Proficient with MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• The ability to interpret drawings and BOMs.
• Flexibility for overseas travel to meet the need of the business.
