We are currently resourcing for an available Production Assistant to join our client's team in the Wallsend area.
The position is for an immediate start and likely to be until 2025 and beyond. Possible permanent opportunities available.
Production Assistant - Permanent - £45,000pa (Some flexibility for the right person).
Key job duties:
- Responsible for safety and coordination of production area
- Planning manpower, time and plant resources
- Area supervision of labour.
- Ensuring area is safely clear of trades in preparation for assembly/production.
- Planning production area activities around a month in advance.
Person specification
- The ideal person will be time served plater, plating supervisor or general foreman within a heavy steel fabrication setting.
- Must be able to read engineering drawings.
- Must have a flexible approach to work and be able to work as part of a team.
- A no-nonsense approach to work with the ability to inspire others.
- This is a development role with the intention of the successful candidate becoming a Production Leader.
