What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be a key part of an innovative, “first to market” technology culture, contributing to CIBC’s digital transformation.  As a Senior Consultant, Production Application Support, you will be joining the Equity Markets group within the Capital Markets Technology team. You will work with business and technology partners along with vendors to ensure continuity of trading systems to minimize impact to CIBC operations in a fast paced challenging environment. You will provide application or infrastructure technical expertise as needed for projects and initiatives related to the implementation and support.

 

How You’ll Succeed

• Production Support - Identify and resolve medium to highly complex production problems for support of applications. Manage, support, and resolve complex vendor and proprietary technical issues arising in a calm and efficient manner.
• Analyze & Report - Analyze complex technical information to determine risk levels and technical feasibility when making changes to applications. Check on overnight batch processes, market and client connectivity to ensure technology readiness and availability each day. Escalate technology issues to the appropriate application support and technology infrastructure groups.         
• Manage & Influence - Lead project coordination efforts in on-boarding clients, synchronize internal technology teams to provide optimal end-to-end solution for both internal and external clients. Identify proactive solutions for recurring technology occurrences to benefit the business.

 

Who You Are

• You can demonstrate experience in: Cross-discipline Application Support of real-time trading and settlement systems.  Diagnose Application issues related to DB, Network, OS, HW, Security, and Message Queue/Bus platforms.  Knowledge of Industry leading Execution and Order Management Systems (EMS/OMS), and Industry standard FIX message protocol.  Advanced knowledge of shell scripting, SQL DDL/DML, and logfile datamining is required to troubleshoot issues and provide tactical solutions.  Strong knowledge and 3 years experience with FIDESSA, Flex Trade, VEX.  Note: This position will require after hours and weekend support as needed.

We are a nationwide Not for Profit Company providing support to adults with Mental Health needs across Blackburn with Darwen. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who has the ability to develop and co-ordinate a stimulating and relevant range of activities for the people we support. You will be developing activities in a collaborative manner ensuring that they meet people’s goals, improve individual’s wellbeing and enhance social inclusion.

You will help form and maintain local connections, support staff to deliver activity sessions, encourage volunteers and develop a vibrant community group offer. We are looking for a caring and dynamic team player to join us, who is flexible and enthusiastic and who can support occasional evening and weekend events where required. You must be a confident communicator and be able to work collaboratively with other professionals and members of the community team. You will work closely with the Project Manager and must be a car driver and able to travel and to support in reach community visits to the people we support. Essential car mileage allowance is provided for this post.
You must be a proactive and creative person with a warm and patient disposition. A genuine interest in working with individuals with mental health needs and individuals who have experienced social isolation is essential as is a commitment to diversity.
