The Role:
We are looking for a motivated Team Leader to oversee production lines at our Linton site. In this role, you will be responsible for driving operational performance, ensuring quality standards are met, and fostering a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Ensure your production cell runs efficiently, meeting customer quality expectations and packing products on time.
Keep machines in good working order, reporting issues to the Engineering Team.
Maintain Quality Service Levels and drive quality standards with a ‘right first time’ mentality.
Foster good relationships with quality control personnel.
Uphold all compliance standards and audit line compliance.
Champion ‘what good looks like’.
Minimise packaging waste and maintain traceability.
Adhere to the production plan and ensure accurate recording of WIP, back to stores, class 2/3, and waste.
Ensure works orders are completed accurately.
Record downtime and labour used accurately.
Document additional costing information.
Maintain CAYG (clean as you go) standards and adhere to internal hygiene policies.
Report and address health and safety issues promptly.
Induct and train employees to perform their roles safely and efficiently.
Manage resources and skills effectively.
Address productivity/performance concerns with the Section Manager.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience in a quality-focused role.
Preferable knowledge of Top seal, Flow wrap, or punnet line machinery.
Excellent interpersonal, planning, and organisational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Results-focused, team-oriented, and numerate.
Flexible, initiative-driven, tenacious, and detail-oriented.
Strong customer understanding and analytical thinking.
