The Production Manager role:
The position of Production Manager is a critical role within the Baglan Plant leadership team. Responsible for managing the operations of all production teams in the plant. Ensuring production meets the goals of product quality, cost effectiveness, safe conditions and customer satisfaction.
This role requires self-motivation, a bias for action, a sense of urgency, strong communication and coordination and the ability to lead others to drive improvements and cultural shifts in manufacturing excellence.
Responsibilities as our Production Manager:
Prioritise SHE behaviours and practices and ensure compliance of all operational personnel
Monitor the execution of production plan and implement countermeasures in time
Interface with planning to ensure optimised production plan and future capacity requirements
Define and implement the labour, material and spend forecast inline with budget
Identify and eliminate site quality and service losses via application of appropriate problem-solving tools. Ensure effective tracking and reporting of all losses
Collaborate with other departments to improve site labour and equipment efficiencies to reduce losses
Drive engagement through effective and timely communication and recognition within the team
Support the Plant Manager and leadership team to deliver Plant KPIs (Labour productivity, OEE, engagement scores)
Apply escalation process on non-conformities and make sure that root causes are identified and resolved
Training and development - identify skill gaps and succession requirements, ensure plans are in place for closure and monitor performance against plan
Operational knowledge of COMAH regulations and responsibilities
Effectively manage all people related activities for the Production team ensuring adherence to all HR processes, policies and systems
Essential skills we are looking for in our Production Manager:

Excellent communication and coordination skills
The ability to collaborate well in cross functional teams
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Supply Chain environment
Fully operational knowledge of TPM Principals and methods (5S, Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, visual management, Kaizen)
Proven track record in managing department, Coaching and leading others
Experience in GMP standards and requirements
Desirable - Degree in Chemical Engineering, Engineering, Sciences or Supply Chain management.
