Müller Milk & Ingredients are looking for a proactive, hands on HR Manager to join the progressive Leadership Team at our Glasgow dairy; this role would suit an experienced HR generalist with a background in manufacturing, FMCG or logistics. We need you to be innovative, adaptable, creative and resilient with the ability to influence and support colleagues and managers alike.

In this role the key responsibilities will include:


- Create and embed a local People Plan and support the people agenda
- Deliver regular colleague and line manager training sessions related to relevant HR policies and procedures e.g. performance management, capability, discipline and grievance
- Develop a positive working environment, encouraging a proactive approach to people's wellbeing and leading the local Wellbeing Forum initiatives
- Oversee the employee life cycle activities for all employees including assisting with talent acquisition, performance management, onboarding and offboarding
- Working closely with the centralised shared service centre
- Develop career development pathways for employees, and oversee the implementation of appropriate training and development programmes
- Strengthen our induction, recognition and retention activities and support associated projects
- Be responsible for and drive improvement in diversity, inclusion and engagement.
- Be accountable for talent planning, succession, assessments and HR processes that drive a high performing team
- Advise and support on Employee Relations casework
- Maintain a positive working relationship with local Trade Union representatives
- Provide general day to day HR support on operational issues
- Supporting Group HR Projects/Initiatives



Experience & skills :


- CIPD qualified
- Experience in manufacturing environment would be beneficial
- Experience working with Trade Unions would be beneficial
- Experience working in business partner/matrix structure
- Proven experience in advising on complex ER matters
- Resilience, great influencing and communication skills
- Able to build trust, respect and openness

The role: Electrical Engineering Manager

My client is an established key player in the high precision re-manufacturing industry, primarily focused on the design, manufacture and selling of equipment, consumables and knowledge transfer into the global semiconductor, geological and optical engineering markets. Their equipment delivers unrivalled accuracy, precision and repeatability.

Approximately 60% of all systems sold incorporate customer specific engineering content, making their output very low volume, high cost. They sell direct and through dealerships worldwide.

All Engineering design, machining and assembly are conducted on site.

They are looking for an experienced engineering manager to lead a multidisciplinary team of electrical/electronic and mechanical engineers.
Essential characteristics:
* Highly driven, results-oriented and organised individual with a proven track record of successfully leading new product development and/or production engineering activities within a small to medium business setting.
* Degree qualified in Electrical / Electronics or software engineering, alongside a proven track record of managing the mechanical engineering aspects of electro-mechanical equipment.
* Leadership and management experience, acting as both mentor and facilitator to achieve the strategic and commercial aims of the business and your department.
* Experience of managing the handover and support requirements for new products.
* Acting as the voice of engineering during design reviews, quality and fault reviews and production meetings.
* Able to effectively appraise capability and resource constraints and communicate issues with candour to all levels of the business, with the appetite and drive to improve the current status-quo.
* Prior involvement in the creation, maintenance, and enforcement of department processes.
* Lead personal development activities and SMART objective setting for the team, managing, and monitoring of KPI's to ensure individual and collective responsibilities are met.
* Customer support experience with in-field issues.
* Willingness to assist in engineering data creation where necessary - Electrical schematics / Software applications, CAD and BOM data, wherever applicable and within the scope of prior experience.


Desirable characteristics
* Knowledge of Semiconductor manufacturing equipment, or similar precision integrated electromechanical equipment.
* Experience of the following software packages:

o SolidWorks + SolidWorks data management
o LabVIEW
o E3 electrical engineering software.
o Sage x3 or similar MRP system
o Q-pulse or similar quality management software.
* Experience of ISO9001:2015, 14001 and 45001
* Experience of recruitment and on-boarding of engineering staff.
