We are currently seeking a Production Planner & Coordinator to join our Supply Chain Management (SCM). This role is home-based with a salary of up to £30,000, depending on experience, and will require quarterly travel to the Bracknell site, as well as additional travel as needed.

As a Production Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring operational excellence and delivering first-class customer service for our global client base. Reporting to the SCM Team Leader, your responsibilities will cover pre- and post-sales customer service, inventory management, and providing support to both SCM and Sales colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse customer requirements to provide high levels of customer service.
• Efficiently manage sales orders in the ERP system, confirm orders, and coordinate shipments.
• Support inbound/outbound logistics to meet customer requirements and On-Time Delivery (OTD) targets.
• Create accurate inventory forecasts and demand plans for assigned accounts and suppliers.
• Generate and distribute purchase orders to suppliers in a timely manner.
• Manage inventory levels within financial and physical constraints.
• Resolve customer complaints swiftly to ensure continued satisfaction.
• Maintain timely distribution of supplier inbound shipping data.
• Minimise slow or dead stock while adhering to inventory guidelines and customer contract terms.
• Continuously review and improve customer-specific processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

• At least 3 years of experience in customer service and demand forecast planning.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Team player with the ability to work independently when necessary.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and the ability to multitask across software applications.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing market and team requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when interacting with multinational teams and senior stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel skills are an advantage.

What are we looking for

This exciting role is focused on delivering automation projects which create new efficient production processes to increase factory capacity, reduce lead time and increase quality.

Production Project Engineer - Responsibilities
* Create equipment technical specifications for new automated production equipment.
* Support in creating company technology roadmap.

* Perform factory and site acceptance tests (FAT and SAT).
* Lead DFM/DFA activities to ensure products are designed for manufacture ensuring parts and materials are fit for both purpose and efficient manufacture.
* Manage projects from kick off, proof of concept to release to production within budget.
* Manage gateways tasks and ensure each Gateway deliverable is completed on time.
* Assess and communicate project status, manage escalations on potential risks and delays.

Production Project Engineer - Knowledge and Experience
* HNC/HND in engineering discipline (or equivalent)
* Excellent knowledge of Automation best practices and the latest technologies
* Lean Manufacturing, Process Mapping, and PFMEA methodology
* Experience writing equipment technical specifications and performing FAT and SAT
* Statistical knowledge, capability studies and MSA
* Strong drawing interpretation skills and GD&T understanding
* Experience on having led DFM/DFA and lessons learnt activities
* Project management
* Risk Management
* Minimum of 5 years' experience leading projects and delivering highly automated equipment/production lines
* Expert in the fields of robotics, machine vision and controls systems
* Proven track record of delivering complete, bespoke automated production lines both in the UK and Internationally

In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the Automated Assembly and Fixative/Reagent Manufacture processes. Your responsibilities will encompass coordinating production activities in alignment with health and safety regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities:

Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Ensure the Auto Assembly Department delivers high-quality finished products as per orders and forecasts.
• Review the production schedule and collaborate with your direct reports to plan upcoming production duties.
• Consult with your manager at the beginning of each shift to establish daily priorities.
• Provide a comprehensive handover report at the end of your shift to the Manufacturing team and Management. Include:
• Overview of products being manufactured by the assembly machines.
• Details of any breakdowns or significant maintenance issues to your manager and Maintenance Engineer.
• Any other pertinent information for the next shift supervisor or your direct report.
• Report equipment damage to your manager promptly.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained to a clean working standard at all times.
• Report any external maintenance requests or equipment damage to your manager.
• Oversee and enforce the correct uniform/PPE usage by your team at all times.
• Conduct regular stock checks and request the purchase of necessary equipment and daily consumables for the glass department.
• Maintain and manage spreadsheets and production records related to the Auto Assembly Department.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of production processes, including automated assembly and manufacturing.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
