• During shift operation, you will exercise primary authority overuse of lock through issuance of instructions to tow boat captains and other craft operators, setting of precedence of entry, and through maintaining proper procedural operation.
• You will observe weather conditions, condition of craft desiring entry, etc., to determine propriety of entry from a safety standpoint.
• You will operate controls necessary to provide for by-pass of defective circuits controlling lock operation; operate light and horn signals to vessels entering/leaving lock chamber; and operate electrical/electronic controls to raise/lower dam gates.
• You will operate radio for voice communication with tows or other craft; and obtain and/or direct others to obtain and record required statistical data relative to each lockage.
• You will perform continuing and special operational or functional checks on machinery to avoid untimely or dangerous equipment breakdown and identify development of unsafe situations; and take steps to remedy and/or report it.

As a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER, GS-1152-9, you will perform the following duties:

1) Establishes plans and schedules for maintenance and repair, using multiple process production methods and procedures for a variety of vehicles and equipment such as combat vehicles, heavy-duty engineering and mobile equipment, tracked vehicles, towed and self-propelled artillery, communications and electronic equipment, guided missile systems, and small arms. Implements maintenance plans and monitors progress of accomplishments.

2) Ensures Modified Table of Organization and Equipment (MTO&E) or Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) reportable Line Item Numbers (LIN) are properly managed, reported and accounted for with respect to readiness reports, property accountability reports, and system management.

3) Programs workload, shop space, and available personnel on a short and long-term basis. Conducts initial and long range planning on matters which include multiple process production, maintenance operations, equipment readiness, including mechanical skills, availability of test and diagnostic equipment, repair parts, annual training requirements, mobilization requirements; and other factors influencing the repair, modification, and maintenance of equipment and readiness reporting.

4) Ensures that unit Class 9 (CL IX) accounts are funded, budgeted, and executed to maximize readiness. Performs demand analysis on unit CL IX expenses to determine proper stockage to sustain unit mission requirements.

5) Designates and maintains current maintenance priorities by Force Activity Designator, pacing items, Equipment Readiness Codes (ERC) A, B, and C equipment type, available funds, commander's priority, state/national priorities (in the case of floods, fires, and mobilizations), and unit supported. Using the current automation support system, authorizes the acceptance of equipment for repair; monitors work priorities, current status, and completion of work orders; requisitions and provides status of repair parts; and assures the effective utilization of maintenance personnel. Provides both standard and ad hoc reports on the status of work orders to the supervisor and/or units.

6) Analyzes repair methods and develops control procedures and policies to assure accomplishment of programs to meet priorities and deadlines established by higher authority or support activities. Ensures that this is performed in the most effective and efficient manner possible with good quality control and quality assurance procedures in place. Coordinates with units and other support activities concerning the delivery, status of repair operations, and/or pick up of completed work orders.

7) Performs other duties as assigned.

This position serves as a Warehouse Worker located within the Warehouse area of the Logistics Service in the Veterans Affairs Health Care System performing work that involves handling and/or overseeing one or more product lines, a segment of a large warehouse, or may serve as the senior employee in a smaller warehouse or supply facility. Major duties and responsibilities include:

- Develops and implements storage plans for assigned area(s) and arranges for movement of supplies between warehouse locations;
-Consolidates materials, and provide maximum space utilization and protection of materials;
- Coordinates incoming and outgoing shipments and placement of materials on docking areas;
- Selects specific storage locations within framework of general warehousing plan
- Rotates stock, check for outdated materials and maintains the appropriate safeguards and temperature controls;
- Handles delivering and warehousing materials including hazardous, flammable and temperature sensitive products
- Drives vehicles, trucks or vans not exceeding 4500 pounds vehicular weight, with electrical or hydraulic lift
- Groups supplies in a logical and easy access manner while ensuring maximum efficiency of space
- Submits monthly reports, status updates, periodic monitors and setting benchmarks;
