Responsibilities

• Sorts customer orders properly, picks products from inventory locations, verifies other associate product pulls, and prepares goods for final shipment in accordance to product temperature shipping requirements, as instructed.

• Packs orders requiring dry ice refrigerant as directed.

• Process daily outbound customer orders using automated carrier or manual shipping systems.

• Replenishes daily, consumable shipping supplies, copier paper, foam boxes, and other consumable supplies as assigned in their work environments such as workstations, cold rooms, or warehouses etc.

• Ability to work in cold temperatures below 40 degrees Fahrenheit for extended periods of time.

• Manages consumable inventories and communicates shortages.

• Helps to prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped such as Transfer Orders, Shipping Letters of Instructions, Export Declarations, etc.

• Picks up and delivers materials and components as directed.

• Signs for materials received, checks goods against packing slips and seeks direction when materials do not match or are damaged. May be required to apply product labeling for materials.

• Process and deliver materials to appropriate personnel.

• Performs cycle count and responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy within company set goals.

• Maintain component inventories and integrity of paper and electronic records without direct supervision.

• Notifies Supervisor of damaged or mixed materials.

• Participates in required training on regulatory issues affecting own area of work and brings regulatory compliance questions/issues to the attention of management.

• Assists in preparation of shipping documentation for domestic and international shipments as directed.

• Communicates daily progress and notifies problem situations to the Team Lead or Supervisor in a timely manner. 

• Maintains shipping and warehouse areas in a clean and orderly manner.

• May be required to operate a forklift and/or Company vehicle as directed.

• Required to maintain security programs in place for shipment processing

• Provides accurate, timely, and courteous service to all customers.

• Follows BD Biosciences Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures. Takes responsibility for safety in immediate work area. Participates in EH&S programs. Notifies supervisors of all observed hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices. May provide recommendations on maintaining the safety of the work environment.

• Performs other related duties and assignments as designated by Supervisor.

Education and Experience:

• Highschool Diploma and 2-3 years experience in materials distribution (shipping/receiving/inventory control) or equivalent combination of related education and experience.

• Knowledge/Experience in Cold Chain shipping preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Must have good inter-personal and communication skills

• Ability to utilize Microsoft systems such as Excel, Word, Outlook and other software packages. 

• Strong attention to detail

• Valid driver's license and good driving record required.

El (la) Document & Label Clerk Operator en el 2nd shift, realizara tareas en el área de “Document Center & Label Issuance” de acuerdo con los procesos, políticas y procedimientos establecidos referente a la impresión de Documentación de “LHR’s” e impresión de etiquetas. Trabajará con el supervisor y lider para lograr que la operación de Document Control sea eficiente. Deberá conocer los procesos de documentación, manufactura y políticas establecidas en las áreas relacionadas a manufactura y/o etiquetados para ejecutar de ser necesario.

Funciones Esenciales del Trabajo:

• Realizar la limpieza de área de trabajo, equipos y materiales, para cumplir con los diferentes procesos

• Organizar el área de trabajo de acuerdo con el proceso trabajado

• Documentar, Inspeccionar e imprimir la generación de etiquetas de acuerdo con el procedimiento establecido.

• Responsable de la creación, generación e impresión de toda documentación requerida para el contenido de “LHR’s” según el “Master List” aplicable.  

• Responsable de auditar la documentación generada del “Master List” y confirmar que toda documentación y/o especificación este en cumplimiento de la revisión vigente según sistema.

• Asegurar la segregación y almacenamiento correcto de documentación, materiales impresos y/o etiquetas según los procedimientos establecidos.

• Responsable de revisar y auditar toda documentación recibida así como los Log’s aplicables.

• Reportar al supervisor cualquier discrepancia, documento que no cumpla con las especificaciones, desviaciones a procedimientos, mal funcionamiento de equipo y/o cualquier incidente ocurrido en el área  que pueda afectar las operaciones de manufactura y/o los asociados.

• Trabajar mano a mano el adiestramiento “OJT”. Asegura que todos los requisitos de adiestramiento estén completos y documentados antes de realizar cualquier operación.

• Reportar cualquier discrepancia al Supervisor/Gerente del área para materiales, procesos, procedimientos, equipos, EHS o cualquier situación que ocurra en el área y que pueda afectar las operaciones ejecutadas y/o algún asociado.

• Cumplir con los cGMP’s, Equipo de Protección Personal (PPE’s) correctos, Estándares de Calidad (“Quality Standard”), políticas y procedimientos.

Job Summary
The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for following established instructions for the execution of specific tasks in a biotechnology manufacturing setting, including the execution of manufacturing orders. The Manufacturing Technician should identify potential problems and bring them to the attention of the supervisor. They participate in continuous improvement projects. 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Material Preparation per established procedures.

• Perform inspection, verification for calibration and maintenance of equipment. 

• Maintains related logs and manufacturing records. 

• Performs area in-process testing as requested.

• Reclaim and re-test of resins.

• Performs daily working area cleaning tasks.

• Performs packing, cleaning and equilibration of chromatography columns as requested and scheduled.

• Maintains inventory of chemicals and lab supplies required for manufacture. Completes material order transactions in SAP system and performs the required inventory control activities to maintain accuracy.

• Support set up and manufacturing activities for the following areas: tissue culture, purification and conjugation.

• Processes cell supernatant to remove debris and to concentrate product before purification.

• Formulates monoclonal antibody reagents using established documentation. 

• Manufactures buffers and solutions using established procedures. 

• Uses equipment such as pipettes, micro-pipettes, balances, pH and conductivity meters, and UV/Visible spectrophotometers.

• Completes assigned manufacturing tasks.

• Complete Filling & Packaging process by scheduling, filling, labeling, bagging, pouching and vialing for:  pellets, purified and conjugated materials, as required.

• Promotes a safe work environment by providing recommendations on maintaining the safety of the work environment, following safety procedures, participating in Environment Health and Safety (EH&S) programs, initiating a corrective action whenever a hazard is identified, notifying supervisor of all observed hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices.

• Supports Quality Assurance by keeping abreast of the basic requirements for compliance in own area of work and aligns with those requirements, participating as required in training on regulatory issues affecting own area of work, bringing regulatory compliance questions/issues to next level of management.

• Maintain good housekeeping practices.

• Provide recommendations to support systems that continuously improve product/process quality and product availability, reduce cost, and increase production capability.

• Participates in Continuous Improvement initiatives.

• Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of aseptic techniques.

• Knowledge of methods required to perform in process testing.

• Knowledge of the operation of related instrumentation such as Spectrophotometers, centrifuges, balances, conductivity meters, micropipettes, CO2 Incubators, Microscopes Micro plate readers, centrifuges, pipettes and Biosafety Hoods

• Knowledge in the manufacture of dilutions, buffers and solutions.

• Strong Mathematics skills. 

• Knowledge of GMP, FDA, ISO and OSHA requirements highly desirable.

• Working knowledge on MS Windows environment software such as MS Office. 

• Effective skills on interpersonal relationships, written and oral communication, and planning/organization.

• Demonstrated ability to follow established policies and procedures. 

• Ability to speak, read and write English. 

• Ability to speak, read and write Spanish.

Summary of This Role

Utilizes power tools, hand tools and a range of diagnostic equipment to provide mechanical and electronic support by installing, servicing, and maintaining specific production equipment while prioritizing work requests to minimize impacts to service level agreements. Conducts preventive maintenance on equipment and records data to track equipment performance and parts usage. Installs and maintains vendor software updates as provided. Assists in training production team members on routine mechanical matters or machine troubleshooting. What Part Will You Play?

• Utilizes basic and complex equipment and tools as part of diagnostic testing, handling more complex problems and equipment failures. Occasionally trains lower level technicians on proper use of equipment. Installs, repairs, and upgrades diagnostic software.
• Makes adjustments and repairs for routine to complex equipment problems. Recommends corrective action beyond internal resources for necessary action.
• Repairs mechanical and electronic production equipment throughout the production area, including 3 phase motors, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC, gears, chains, pumps, and conveyors, as well as specialized equipment (mail sort, unwinder, folder, pressure sealer, punch and perforation, folder, cutting, and bursting units).
• Performs and documents preventive maintenance according to equipment specifications. Assists in reviewing records for preventive maintenance scheduling.

The Saw Operator is responsible for setting up and running the saw machine to support all our manufactured parts and processes, with a safety-first mindset.  The duties and responsibilities of a Saw Operator are to ensure that all jobs are completed on time and that the saw area and raw material inventory are kept clean and organized, and in compliance with safety standards. The Saw Operator actively engages in our Lean journey by building and acting on continuous improvement and development opportunities. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Perform all work with a safety-first mindset, following established safety procedures.
• Sets up Saw Machine and cuts raw materials used in production, adjusting as needed.
• Determine speeds, feeds, tooling, and operation sequences for a considerable range of operations or set-ups.
• Calculate the optimum material utilization for each bar to avoid excessive scrap. 
• Clean, cut and debug steel working from prints, bills of material, route sheets and requisitions.
