Production Operative
Working as part of a manufacturing team responsible for the manufacture of liquid products, ensuring that all products are manufactured to specification and that Health & Safety and quality standards are maintained to the highest standards. This is an on-going position located just outside of Derby City Centre starting Tuesday 2nd May with the view to go permanent for the right candidate.
Key duties and responsibilities:

Using scales to accurately weigh raw materials for use in finished goods formulations
Manual recording of supplier batch numbers
Manual handling of raw materials (adhering to safety requirements)
Mechanical handling of raw materials (adhering to safety requirements)
Following prescrived method to mix raw materials to create finished goods
Use of Internal Manufacturing IT program to prioritise and update progress of work
Rotate raw materials using FIFO principles
Accurate completion of batch records
General housekeeping duties of own work area

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

FLT Reach Truck qualification preferred but not essential
Ability to accurately follow written instructions
Ability to work independently and as part of a small manufacturing team
Ability to multi-task
Ability to follow safety instructions and work in a safe, compliant manner (chemical handling environment)
Personal qualities:
Physically fit
Fast and willing learner
Good communicator
Good Health & Safety awareness
Great attititude to work
Willingness to work and learn new things

Hours of work:

Monday - Thursday 0830am - 1630pm
Friday 0830am - 1530pm
