This is for 2nd shift weekdays: Monday - Friday 12:00 PM-8:00 PM. This position is required to work on the production floor. Overtime is required as needed.

Summary of This Role

Using both machine and manual procedures may receive, separate, process, pack and/or deliver in process work or completed work in a zero defect environment. Utilizes multiple data bases to record and track work, including verifying addresses worldwide, printing labels, verifying proper contents, issuing product, and documents work status. Identifies errors, returns, or exceptions and handles according to client specifications. Is the last point of verification to insure accurate output of client information.

What Part Will You Play?

• Identifies and gathers required collaterals (e.g. inserts, forms, letters, card carriers, envelopes, labels, etc.) for assigned production job order; organizes according to priority and order of work to provide for efficient workflow and assembly. Verifies amount/type of collateral against job order and delivers for change of control to production.
• Initiates start-up and operation process for machine production (e.g. printing shipping labels, attaching cards to card carriers, sealing envelopes, etc.) of one-off or specialized requirements specified by the client and not ordinarily covered under Machine Operator duties.
• Performs manual pre-work or specialty processes that are completed prior to automated/machine production (e.g. separating, packing, counting, loading, affixing labels, and scanning or issuing collaterals such as cards within a specific area of card processing, card shop, card vault, express mail, mail sort or specialty departments).
• Records status of work in progress into a proprietary database, provides to leadership for sensitive item accountability and reviews level of compliance with applicable Service Level Agreements (SLA). Understanding correct client specific standards for manual work to be processed and compliance with SLAs, inspects 100% of work in a zero defect environment.
• Reconciles collaterals between completed, work in progress, and collateral inventory to ensure sensitive item accountability. Learns and assists more experienced Manual Operators to serve as last touch point and quality review for outgoing finished products.
• Operates various software systems used to track, review, access, and invoice clients for reimbursable work (e.g., labeling, postage, delivery, etc.).

Under the supervision of the Logistics Manager, the AutoStore Warehouse Operator’s duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Move freight and stock to and from loading docks, delivery vehicles, storage areas, and production areas either manually or using equipment such pallet jacks or forklift
• Operate production equipment (E.G.: high speed cutting saw, etc.)
• Stage products based on orders for production
• Sort cargo during loading or unloading process and count in/out bound and production orders accurately

Summary:

Production Associates are responsible for performing a variety of tasks and processes to complete electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies including but not limited to solder, cable assembly, machine operation, final assembly, PCB, machine crimping and ribbon cable assembly.  Production Associates must be able to follow established methods and procedures to ensure these tasks are completed as directed by manufacturing schedules with limited supervision.

• Function as a participating team member.

• Hand soldering of wires to electrical connectors and PCB’s.

• Assemble electromechanical assemblies as required.

• Review and complete required production documentation.

• Update job status in EPICOR Systems as required.

Your Challenges

• Collaborate with Production/Quality MFT (Multi-functional Team) to deliver on project achievements

Your Boarding Pass

This position is responsible for screen printing multiple conductive or resistive patterns and dielectric layers onto ceramic substrates, in accordance with drawings, specs, and procedures, using screen printing equipment in a safe and efficient manner, maintaining high quality workmanship standards, while working in a team oriented environment.
Position requires cross training across multiple processes and a commitment to safety, careful handling of hazardous material, and ESD handling procedures.

• Ensure that departments meet production’s daily, weekly, and monthly goals within budget and a high level of quality.

• Assist with plant capacity, equipment, and space necessary to meet current and future production plans.

• Determines work schedules and overtime, allocation of resources and which machines will run and resolves problems as they occur.

• Looks for new ways to improve the efficiency of production lines.

• Confers with department supervisors/managers to determine status of assigned projects.

• Prepares production reports.

• Daily availability to include evenings and weekends when necessary to reach goals and deadlines.

• Provide leadership to employees, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

• Associates degree (A.S) from two -year college (preferably in Electronics) or university degree in a related field. Bachelor Degree (B.S) is a plus.  

• 2-5 years of supervisory role experience. 

• General knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP Software.

• Follows all import/export requirements, consulting with facility import/export personnel as required.

• Basic Knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100.

• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen.

• Knowledge of specific software (design, analysis, ERP…)

• US Citizenship with ability to attain/maintain government security clearance.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Operator will utilize a plastic injection molding press and various molds to perform this function, along with various supporting equipment.

• Additionally, pneumatic presses with various lead trimming and forming dies, and a media blaster for flash removal will be used in the performance of this role.

• ESD precautions (smock, wrist, and foot straps) are always required while handling product.

• Small hand tools as well as a microscope will be used.

• Continual inspection will be performed on all parts produced to ensure compliance to specification and drawing requirements.

• Become proficient on injection molding press operation, pneumatic press/die setup and operation, and media blasting operation.

• Data entry on a computer for labor and time charging, document retrieval and production record keeping.

• Daily housekeeping. Employee must be open to cross training in different manufacturing operations. Normally receives general instructions on routine assignments and detailed instructions on new assignments.

• Acquire the job skills and learn company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.

• Operator will eventually assist Supervisor in providing training to entry level personnel.

• Additional tasks may be assigned to support department goals.

Qualifications:

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent GED 6 months to a year of previous production environment experience strongly preferred

• Has good eye-hand dexterity/coordination to assemble small parts, sitting and working with hand tools (tweezers, fixture, pliers) using a microscope and various other related equipment

• Must be able to wear nitrile gloves and finger cots for long periods of time

• Must have basic reading skills, clear verbal and written communication skills, intermediate arithmetic skills

• Ability to perform documentation (sign off on operation sheet) and the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions on routine assignments and detailed instructions on new assignments

• Must have basic computer skills for data entry

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Will regularly stand/walk/climb or balance/stoop, bend, kneel, crawl/push or pull/talk or hear; carry or lift up to 50 lbs.; frequently will need to sit, reach with hands or arms to handle parts/equipment VISION REQUIREMENTS:  Be able to distinguish and identify colors, be able use close vision (20 inches plus), have 3D depth perception (ability to judge distances and spatial relationships) with the ability to adjust focus as needed WORK ENVIRONMENT:  Machine-shop environment - no make-up allowed and closed toe shoes are required. Will regularly work near moving mechanical parts and have contact with moving mechanical equipment. Noise level is moderate (light traffic)
