**Job Title: Brake Press Setter/Operator**

**Location:** Tamworth

**Job Type:** Full-time, Temp to Perm

**Salary:** £13.00 - £15.00 per hour

**Working Hours:**


* Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
* Friday: 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM



Workforce is seeking a dedicated and skilled Brake Press Setter/Operator to join our on-site team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating our brake press machinery, ensuring all components meet our stringent quality standards, troubleshooting issues as they arise, and performing pre-press activities.

**Key Responsibilities:**


* Operate brake press machinery to produce high-quality components with a right-first-time philosophy.
* Produce components from drawings and planning route cards, ensuring the highest quality and adherence to routed times.
* Demonstrate a proactive and innovative approach to supporting the team, solving problems, and contributing to continuous improvement.
* Accurately interpret technical drawings and use handheld inspection equipment such as height gauges and vernier calipers for quality control.

**Requirements:**


* Previous experience working with Amada brake presses.
* Ability to produce high-quality components from technical drawings.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to teamwork and continuous improvement.
* Competence in using handheld inspection equipment for quality control.

Assembly operative

Due to increased company demand, the vacancy for a full-time Assembly operative created, this role would suit individuals that have worked in a manufacturing or assembly background, have done assembly in the past or maybe whiling to be trained.


Pay rate: £13.92/h
Hours: ROTATIONAL Mon-Fri 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm

Temp to perm




Day to Day duties will include the following:
Assembly

Provide relief cover to other functions in the Production areas after appropriate training

Work effectively within a team to achieve targets

Achieve the required levels of quality and output

Complete accurately and legibly all paperwork or other recording procedures


As a person you will need the following qualities and experience:
Able to work at a fast pace to ensure despatch times are met (Essential)

Good numeracy and literacy skills (Essential)

Punctual & Conscientious (Essential)

Previous assembly experience (Desirable)

Must be able to work flexibly across all areas of the factory and work shifts if necessary (Essential)

Must be able to carry out work at DSE / computer terminals i.e. Data input, recording, checking, etc (Essential)
