About the role:
Throughout the apprenticeship, you’ll learn a wide breadth of skills including engineering principles and theory to help you understand ‘why’ things work, as well as hands on machine use as you explore ‘how’ they work. With exposure to various engineering machinery such as milling machines, lathes, and electro-pneumatic systems, you'll build a strong foundation of engineering knowledge.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Manual fitting
A breadth of engineering machinery, including milling, lathes, electro, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and many more
Mechanical assemblies and maintenance of mechanical systems
The preparation and use of industrial robots
Basic principles and techniques of Computer Aided Design (CAD)
The applications and principles of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)

Training
About the apprenticeship…
Alongside your day role, you will work to complete Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship with a specified external training provider. This will give you the knowledge, training and external approval to do your job effectively. This apprenticeship duration is approximately 4 years in duration.
Qualifications required
In order to apply you must have…
Minimum 5 GCSE’s at Grade 9 to 4 (A* to C) including English and Maths
The right to work in the UK
Been a UK/EU/EAA resident for the past three years or more prior to starting the course
Left full time education when the apprenticeship you are applying for is due to start
