As part of the Assurance Calendar, create and manage a validation schedule, ensuring annual system or process challenges are carried out. To support the pharmacy Governance & Safety and Operational Teams to ensure pharmacy staff are working to safe standards, meeting legislation for medicine requirements and the safe custody of medicines. To support the Ward Services Operational Manager to ensure regular audits of medicines management technical services are undertaken, supporting actions for ward manager or modern matrons to achieve compliance. Responsible for the review and auditing of all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Clinical Operating Procedures (COPs) for the operational delivery in the dispensaries, and stores areas on both sites (UHCW & Rugby St Cross). Responsible for ensuring all mandatory inspections and audits relating to the Wholesaler Dealer License and Quality systems for the clinical areas are completed, documented and reported back to the RP. To work with the pharmacy IT/EPR team, ensuring regular system challenges form part of the Assurance calendar and contingency plans are fit for purpose. To work with the Dispensary and Stores Operational Manager and Procurement Manager to ensure the goods receipt area is regularly inspected for WDL compliance along with annual supplier qualification criteria. What is the job role?

We are looking for the right people to join our team as Estate Maintenance/ Grave Digging Operatives.

This is a unique role in which you will contribute to a wide range of maintenance activities with tight deadlines. These include manual and mechanical digging and backfilling of graves, preparing and setting out a grave for burial, and grounds maintenance activities such as mowing and hedge cutting.

Excavating/preparing graves utilising an excavator and/or hand tools, performing all duties with due care and consideration for the bereaved.

Cemetery Operative training is provided.

Working hours are Monday - Friday 8.30 am - 4.30 pm

Who are we looking for?

You should have good knowledge and practices of tools/equipment that will include working below ground level, ride-on mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters, and various hand tools.

In addition you:

• hold a full driving license.
• Respectful in the environment in which you work
• Able to communicate effectively with members of the public
• Work within a team to achieve tight deadlines
• Able to work out in all weathers
• Have a working knowledge of horticultural and or excavating tools and equipment
• Knowledge of Health and Safety within the workplace
• Good customer care skills

You will provide technical support for the Superconductivity and Magnetism group, helping to maintain and repair apparatus in the sample preparation and characterisation laboratories of the group. The apparatus includes a range of electrical and mechanical devices including furnaces, pumps, and low-temperature (cryogenic) measurement systems.

You will be responsible for the general support of the research group’s activities, carrying out routine maintenance of equipment and housekeeping in the group’s laboratories.

You will also assist in operating and maintaining the Departmental helium recovery plant.
