We have a great opportunity for a career-minded individual to join our Camberley team as an Electrical Technician in our Waste Pumping Team.

Working in the Camberley and surrounding areas you will be operating and maintaining approximately 250 waste pumping stations. Maintaining these assets ensures we help deliver life’s essential service to our customers, communities and the environment so keeping pumps available and running is our primary goal.

You will be working in a small team and on your own ensuring the assets on site remain in service. This will involve routine maintenance and problem-solving when things go wrong. The team are keen to welcome and train new people to help them ensure all the plants remain in service.

What you’ll be doing as the Electrical Technician

- Carrying out scheduled planned and reactive maintenance work on a variety of wastewater residential assets and industrial electrical machinery in compliance with company procedures to minimise plant breakdowns.
- Where required, communicating with the customer in a professional manner and throughout the process, whilst meeting their expectations, at all times.
- You will investigate plant failures and carry out repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible to avoid interruptions to the process. This may involve investigating and diagnosing complex faults and carrying out repairs during incidents.
- You will be expected to provide technical advice, referring to up-to-date technical knowledge, and provide training or support for technical trainees if required.
- Examples of equipment that you will be working on will be various pumps and associated control gear, 3-phase motors, starters and controls, electronic control systems such as VSDs, automatic valves and penstocks, flow, level and pressure measurement, programmable logic controllers, variable speed drives and controls, chemical handling and dosing equipment.
- Participate in a stand-by rota following the relevant training.

Base Location - Camberley - GU15 3YL.

38 hours per week Monday-Friday.7:30 -3:36 pm.

What you should bring to the role

- 18th Edition electrical City and Guilds certification is crucial.
- Ideally an apprenticeship with significant experience in electrical systems working in a ‘true multi-skilled capacity.
- Experience in inspecting, maintaining, fault diagnosis, testing, installation, modifying or repairing Electrical plant equipment.
- Ideally experience maintaining large pumps, actuated valves, electronic control systems such as VSD and 3-phase electrical switchgear is essential.
- Knowledge and awareness of health and safety issues relevant to the industry would benefit this role.
- The work will require physical fitness.
- You will need the ability to work in confined spaces and will require the completion of appropriate training for this.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.

My client are a M&E Engineering company who have been established for over 45 years and currently employ over 150 staff, providing all M&E Solutions to their blue chip client base.



A position has now become available for a static electrically biased M&E engineer to be based at a prestigious shopping Centre in Camberley, Surrey.



The Role :



You will be working on the following on a daily basis across the shopping centre:

- Planned Preventive Maintenance (mostly lighting maintenance and fire alarm weekly bell checks) to work on a mobile basis across their commercial property portfolios.
- General Plumbing PPM and repairs
- Emergency light test/bell tests/fire alarms /electrical wiring and repairs
- Fan coils / AHU/ Pumps, Actuators
- General small scale fabric repairs also, small painting repairs, holes in walls, tightening hinges

THE PACKAGE

The role

As a Maintenance Plumber you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be part of a team responsible for maintaining the Gibraltar Barracks which houses the Royal School of Military Engineering.

Day to day, you'll be executing planned and reactive maintenance across the estate, supporting an array of companies contractual and statutory obligations, helping to ensure a safe and cost effective working environment. Other duties include:

• To deliver planned, reactive and remedial maintenance services to all mechanical systems and equipment, heating, ventilation, water hygiene, sanitary and drainage systems, plus all associated components across the Estate
• Complete day to day site checks, work orders, and repairs / fault finding as required in support of the company's service level obligations, ensuring a safe and efficient operating environment all times
• Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance which may include but not limited to temperature checks, flushing fire hydrants, cleaning shower heads, cold water tank inspections
• Respond to reactive maintenance jobs that come in frequently through out day. These may include leaking taps, leaking toilets, blocked toilets, blocked urinals, repairing faulty pipework, heating valves, air handling unit faults.
• Resetting gas values when needed.
• Support asset replacement programmes including mechanical system upgrades or replacements as required

This role is on a full time, permanent basis and will be based at the Gibraltar Barracks in minley. You'll need a flexible approach to working outside normal working hours and taking part in the On-Call rota where required

Qualifications for the Maintenance Plumber:

• Relevant technical qualifications
• Hold a driving licence suitable for use in the UK
