They are actively looking for a Solar O&M Team Leader to line Manage up to 2-10 Technicians in a region and be accountable to the Operations Manager for the performance of the team and the region.

Responsibilities


- The responsibilities of the Team Leader include all the responsibilities within the Technician job role, with the addition of the items below.
- The Team Leader may be allocated fewer sites to manage to ensure time can be allocated to the additional responsibilities.
- Line management of a team of Technicians, ensuring adherence to HSQE requirements at all times.
- Staff recruitment, training, and competency planning.
- Day to day planning alongside the co-ordinator a team of Technicians.
- Working with the Coordinator for responding to call outs from the monitoring team.
- Attendance at weekly coordination calls and relaying information back to the team.
- Always demonstrate leadership for health and safety and help improve safety standards across the team.
- Set high standard for quality and compliance of maintenance tasks, and lead by example in this area.
- Support the allocation of downtime events so that the correct downtime cause and penalising status can be recorded, and ensuring good commercial awareness when doing so during the monthly call.
- Discuss performance on a weekly to the Solar O&M Manager and demonstrate accountability for the performance of their region.
- Ensuring call out rota has full coverage.
- Support and carry out quality checks to ensure the high standard of all sites in the region and ensuring compliance with the O&M contract when requested.

Requirements


- Reading, writing and amending Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Experience liaising with equipment vendors to support diagnosis of faults.
- DC and LV installation, fault finding, testing and commissioning.
- Solar PV installation and O&M experience (MW-scale or large commercial ground-mount).
- Battery storage installation and O&M experience (MW- scale) is desirable.
- Experience installing or maintaining ethernet and fibre optic communications.
- Experience working with SCADA or data monitoring systems.
- Working with Central inverters.
- Working with High Voltage switchgear.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Approved Electrician.
- Inspection and testing qualifications (C&G 2391 or 2394/5) highly valued.

Job Specification:

8 hours paid per shift, with overtime rates paid after 40 hours per week
Working shift patterns of 6am - 2pm the first week, then 2pm - 10pm the second week & this pattern will continue week about.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Working alongside T1 Semi Skilled Operatives, you will be undertaking the following overhaul & repair tasks of the allocated wheelsets & bogies whilst adhering to the requisite processes & procedures:
* Carry out the initial inspection of wheelsets
* Axle bearing removal taking care to ensure no damage to the axle or components occurs and prepare the bearings for dispatch to the relevant external companies
* Paint removal on the axle
* Wheel pan removal taking the relevant precautions to ensure no damage to components is caused
* Painting activities (both repairs and spray painting)
* Surface defect removal
* Oil drain and fill on wheelset gearbox and couplings and any associated parts
* Initial Bogie inspection reporting any findings through the relevant maintenance portal and supervisor
* Wheelset removal taking care not to damage the frame or wheelsets
* Frame disassembly and component removal
* Carry out Component repair following
* Assist with cleaning of rolling stock when required

Knowledge and experience

• Must have relevant experience in Mechanical engineering environment
• Mechanical qualifications (such as NVQ 3)
• Able to act as a member of a multi-disciplined team
• Problem solving skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Work on own initiative where required

Job Description

Working hours are Tuesday - Saturday, 6am - 12 noon.

As a Sample Registration Technician, you will complete the registration of water samples for a given method. You will also assist in the efficient day-to-day operation of the laboratory.

Please note, no previous experience within laboratory is required, full training is provided. We are keen to receive applications from candidates who are willing to learn new skills and used to working within a fast paced environment.

Duties include:

Sorts through all sample deliveries and arranges samples in time order.
Match sample paperwork to the relevant samples.
Register samples into our IT system meeting the testing requirements provided by the customer.
Communicate with internal teams or external customers to clarify testing details or specifications.
Troubleshoot any issues related to sample registration.
Ensure accurate labelling, storage and disposal of samples takes place.
Ensure that sample registration is completed in a timely manner.
Work in line with our quality procedures to maintain accreditation.
Collaborate with other team members and show flexibility to help meet demand.
Work with the team to ensure that all waste generated is removed from the lab via the correct waste streams.
Undertake any other reasonable task or responsibility requested by a senior manager.

Typical duties will include call logging; problem solving; installation, configuration, repairing and upgrading ICT equipment (hardware and software); periodic printer maintenance; basic network implementation; setting up ICT bookings; auditing; updating support manuals and creating user guides. Existing knowledge of hardware and software maintenance would be advantageous.

Knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office, in particular MS Word, Excel, Outlook is essential.

This global leader in their market are recruiting for a temporary to permanent PDI Technician to join their friendly team in Grantham, Lincolnshire.

The purpose of the role is to perform mechanical, electrical and aesthetic inspections of machines before being shipped to customers.

You will be:
• Responsible for the daily PDI of machines given to you via tablets or paper based check list,
• Carry out a robust PDI-inspection on all machines from start to finish prior to being despatched.
