We are seeking a skilled Small Engine Mechanic – Moulded Fibre Production Machinery to join our team and provide technical support for the operation, maintenance, and repair of Ecosure Pulpmolding Technologies wheat straw moulded fibre thermoforming machines. This role focuses on diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues in the machines' engine components, performing repairs, and ensuring optimal performance to meet production targets. The Small Engine Mechanic – Moulded Fibre Production Machinery will work closely with the technical team to maintain smooth machine operation with minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
Key Duties:
· Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Identify and address mechanical and electrical issues in the engine systems and related components of thermoforming machines, including motors, drives, and electrical circuits.
· Disassembly and Inspection: Disassemble and inspect engine assemblies, mechanical parts, and electrical systems to assess their condition, identify faults, and determine necessary repairs or replacements.
· Repairs and Component Replacement: Perform repairs and replace faulty or worn-out parts in engine systems and other machinery components, ensuring the equipment is reassembled and restored to proper working condition.
· Preventative Maintenance: Carry out regular maintenance tasks, including oil changes, lubrication, air filter replacements, and inspections of engine components to keep machines running efficiently and meet operational standards.
· Performance Optimization: Adjust and calibrate engine and mechanical systems to enhance machine performance, ensuring optimal balance between production efficiency and product quality.
· Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all machinery, including mechanical and electrical systems, operate in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards, adhering to safe work practices.
· Training and Skill Development: Provide training to on-site personnel on safe operation, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques for thermoforming machinery, focusing on mechanical and engine systems.
· Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate records of all repairs, maintenance activities, parts replaced, and modifications made to machinery to ensure compliance with maintenance schedules and operational requirements.
· Collaboration and Problem-Solving: Work with engineers and technical teams to troubleshoot complex issues, implement system improvements, and optimize machinery configurations to enhance overall performance.
· External Systems Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in other mechanical systems or equipment outside the core machinery and recommend solutions to boost overall operational efficiency.
Skills & Qualifications:
2-4 years of proven experience in operating and maintaining industrial machinery such as thermoforming machines, moulded fibre production machines, or similar production equipment.
Knowledge of safety regulations for industrial equipment and the ability to implement these regulations in a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience with mechanical troubleshooting, including repairs and adjustments to engine components, electrical systems, and thermoforming equipment.
Comfort with performing physical work, including lifting and carrying engine parts, standing for extended periods, and using hand tools.
