VCA Veterinary Specialists of CT is seeking a Canine Rehabilitation Technician Assistant to join our 24-hour Emergency/Critical Care, Specialty and General Practice. VetSpecs is looking for a highly motivated, passionate individual to join us in delivering exceptional care to our patients.
Job Type: Full Time
Pay Range: $16 - $18 per hour
Shifts: 8:30-6:00pm Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Aiding in canine rehabilitation appointments:
Restraint;
Setting up and breaking down equipment;
Walking patients through cavaletti rails / performing exercises;
Walking patients for gait analysis;
Cleaning and maintenance;
Room cleaning;
Equipment cleaning and maintenance (i.e treadmill, inflatables)
Secondary Job Responsibilities:
Technician assistant duties:
Assisting with instrument sterilization;
Laundry;
Restocking the surgical suites, ICU, and exam rooms;
Daily, weekly, and monthly deep cleaning and disinfection of medical areas and exam rooms;
Organizational projects
Candidates need to possess strong communication skills, be highly-motivated, and able to handle high volume of tasks. Need to be able to be active throughout the day and lift at least 40 lbs. Applicable experience preferred.
