We are hiring for Veterinary Technician Assistants. We are proud and excited to offer a paid training program for our entry-level and Veterinary Technician Students! For more experienced assistants we are hiring for specific areas of interest such as internal medicine, oncology, physical rehabilitation, neurology, and emergency services. Those with minimal to no experience would begin as an animal care assistant before transitioning to a veterinary assistant.
Who We Are:
VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center, located in Fishers, IN, is open 24/7, 365 days a year, and our services and medical equipment mirror what one would find at a human medical center. A full complement of services is offered including 24- hour Emergency and Critical Care, Surgery, Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Advanced Imaging, Ophthalmology, Rehabilitation, and Nutrition.
Development and Training for our Associates:
Our caseload is diverse, and the opportunities to keep learning and grow at our hospital are immense. We pride ourselves in being a teaching hospital, and our Specialists and RVTs provide a comfortable, supportive environment for associates who are willing to learn.
It is essential to our hospital that every Technician and Assistant feel supported in their professional development and growth. Therefore, our hospital has a Technician Training and Development Coordinator, who works closely with all Technicians, Assistants, and Animal Care Attendants, to provide aid in development, help set goals, and push our team to greatness.

During the Veterinary Technician Assistant training program, you will:
- Participate in a curriculum of classroom training
- Medical terminology
- Learn Anatomy and Physiology of canines and felines
- Participate in hands-on training
- Restraint techniques
- Caring for patients
- Partner with Registered Veterinary Technicians to deliver state-of-the-art patient care
At the end of the training program, you will be able to perform animal husbandry, patient handling, medical terminology, sanitation, diagnostic testing, and much more!
