We are seeking a motivated and reliable Facilities Assistant who will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the assigned facilities.
Position: Facilities Assistant
Rate of Pay: £13.00 per hour
Location: Unit 2, Century Place, 1 Lamberts Road, Tunbridge Wells TN2 3EH
Job Type: Temporary with possibilities of extension
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00
Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day facilities maintenance tasks, including but not limited to cleaning, minor repairs, and general upkeep of the premises.
- Monitor and report any issues or defects in the facility to the Facilities Manager promptly.
- Support in setting up and organising spaces for meetings, events, or other activities as required.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Assist with receiving deliveries and managing inventory of supplies and materials.
- Follow health and safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulations at all times.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a facilities or maintenance role is preferred but optional.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks as required.
