Your new role
Your new job as a Senior Bonding Authority Technician, means you will be responsible for producing DUA/ Binder MRC Slips and be responsible for managing Binders/ Coverholder and relationships with Clients and Underwriters. In your new job, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently managing the administration of premium payments, statements, and bordereaux processing for new business and renewals, ensuring compliance with specific terms and conditions. You will maintain ongoing communication with colleagues, brokers, accounts, and other divisions to ensure seamless operations. You will handle complex issues from brokers and clients, providing expert solutions and escalating issues when appropriate. Additionally, you will be responsible for training and guiding junior team members, helping them develop their skills and ensuring they adhere to best practices.
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working as a Binding Authority Technician will contribute to your success in securing this role. Ideally, you will have at least 5 years of experience within the London insurance market. You will have high level knowledge and understanding of Binding Authorities and possess strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to devise innovative solutions. You will have experience with the creation of MRC Binding Authorities, Line slips, Consortia slips and endorsements. Also, be proficient in Xchanging systems such as DCOM, Atlas, LWR, IMR etc.

What you'll be doing;

• Conduct scheduled physical inspections by company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) procedures
  
• Carry out operational Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) checks and report findings with the shift supervisor and maintenance supervisor
  
• Communicate clear instructions and information to MBT operatives to support operations and high emphasis will be placed on the plant availability and the performance of the biological process

Responsible for ensuring that all equipment and facilities for which they are responsible are maintained in such a way as to ensure correct functioning and specification. Act as deputy to the Chief Radiopharmacy Technician to cover for some of the routine duties normally performed, apart from in those areas where the post-holder is not accredited to do so. These may include rescheduling and prioritising work and supervising the deployment of technical staff as well as deploying contingency plans. Act to resolve any problems that arise during manufacture, the operation of the facility and any equipment, operating within the terms of Standard Operating Procedures. The Ionising radiation Regulations, The Ionising Radiation (Medical exposures) Regulation and The Data Protection Act 1984 and any other relevant Guidance notes and Departmental Local Rules Be designated as an IR(ME)R operator by the Trust in respect to Radiopharmacy technical duties and know the legal implications involved. Be designated as a Classified Worker by the Trust under the Ionising Radiations Regulations (IRR). This will include participation in personal monitoring for radioactive contamination. Work in accordance with Local Rules, relevant legislation, codes of practice and regulations relating to the use of radioactive material and, in general, to observe safe procedures and good practice in all aspects of patient investigations and radiation work. Work in accordance with SOPs, following GMP, QA and GCP. Review current practice and propose changes where appropriate where benefit to users, other healthcare professionals and patients may result, to contribute to the development of the radiopharmacy service. Maintain records of receipt, storage and disposal operating within the terms of Standard Operating Procedures, to fulfil Environmental Agency regulations and GMP. Maintain adequate stock levels, stock rotation operating within the terms of Standard Operating Procedures. Source suitable and new items / manufacturers as required. Responsible for the care and safe handling of equipment and accessories in the area of work. Ensure that equipment faults are recorded appropriately and reported. Make suitable provision for the service in the event of equipment failure. Make suitable arrangements to fix the equipment failure. Ensure records surrounding the above events are maintained. Ensure contracts and waivers are in place for services as required. 7. RESPONSIBILITY FOR INFORMATION RESOURCES Ensure that data entries and print outs are presented for checking purposes in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring data integrity. Support the cascading of information through the team, department and customers. Monitor and report deficits in the data governance and data integrity of the Radiology Information System (RIS) and the Pharmaceutical Quality System (PQS), in use in the department.

• To organise, supervise and check the day to day duties of the science technician(s) in the school.
• To train inexperienced technical staff in the duties of the role.
• In liaison with teaching staff, prepare resources and equipment for practical lessons. Set out, remove and clean equipment as necessary.
• To mount display work, posters and notices in classrooms and corridors.
• To make and revise risk assessments for practicals, preparation of chemicals and equipment in line with LA guidelines.
• Arrange a programme of maintenance and repair in term time and school holidays.
• Undertake regular safety checks on machinery and equipment adhering to Health & Safety Regulations and up-keep of maintenance records as necessary.
• Provide hands on practical support for pupils in class with equipment, tools and machinery.
• To assist staff as necessary in demonstrations, practical assessments and other practical lessons.
• Responsibility for the safe storage and disposal of surplus chemicals in compliance with current regulations.
• To keep the laboratories, preparation rooms and store room in a clean working condition.

Your new role

Your new job working as a Senior Broker Support Technician will be responsible for providing a quality technical service to Brokers covering all aspects of their insurance.
You will be responsible for the production of MRC slips and endorsements. You will also be responsible for working closely with Placing Brokers, Producing Brokers, colleagues and clients. The role will inched the analysis of data under existing Binding Authority Agreements. Dealing with Market statistics (PI / Earned to Incurred etc). Preparation of MRC slips and endorsements, as well as updating and maintaining monthly Earned to Incurred statistics. Compiling and maintaining risk level data for Binding Authority Agreements. Knowledge and use of Lloyd's systems eg DComm/Lineage (would be advantageous). You will also produce open market MRC Slips and Endorsements on occasions.
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working as a Technician dealing with Non Marine or Property risks emanating ideally from North America will contribute to your success in securing this role. Experience of Binding Authorities as well as DComm/Lineage would be advantageous. You will be technically astute and ideally, you will have an experience in MRC slip production and endorsements. You will have excellent communication skills both written and verbally. Cross training to NA Property and Transportation will be offered

Your previous experience working as a Technician (Back end premium processing) within a Lloyd's Insurance Broker with experience in dealing with the Bureaux will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will be able to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and technical support within their respective team, business units and/or associated clients and markets, create timely and accurate accounting transactions and premium signings. You will have attention to detail and accuracy, a high level of accountability and problem-solving, self-motivation, can work with a degree of autonomy, strong computer skills and robust communication skills.

Your new job working as a Senior Technician will require you to manage own workload and time to maximise efficiency and be able to manage a team by mentoring, training and guiding members of the team. You will report to the Binding Authority Director. Duties will include undertaking ongoing communication with colleagues to ensure timely and accurate production of documentation, chasing and monitoring premiums under terms of trade, diarising, tracking and chasing subjectivities, proposal forms and surveys. What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience as a Senior Technician will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have at least 5 years of insurance experience and proven and practical experience of applying competencies to a level outlined above. You will also need 5 GCSEs at C or 5 and above or A Levels, including Maths and English and Lloyd's Market LM1 and LM2. Desirably you will be working towards your ACII, but it is not essential.
