Job Description
Summary
Under the direction of the VP Operations, oversees the Environmental, Health and Safety program, ensuring that all regulatory permit obligations are completed on schedule and all personnel are trained as required to ensure a safe and efficient workplace. Participates in Teledyne EHS team calls and initiatives and reports required metrics. Participates in the long-term strategic planning process for Operations including space planning and other facility projects required to support production capacity and ensure facility operations run in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. Manages daily facility operations including project management of infrastructure installations, preventative maintenance and repair services, and other upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Environmental, Health & Safety (70%)
- Manage Environmental, Health & Safety program, including acting as Environmental Safety Leader and Radiation Safety Officer.
- Coordinate training programs to instruct personnel in the proper procedures for use of radiation generating devices, high voltage equipment, and hazardous materials prior to use, at periodic intervals (refresher training) and as required by changes in procedures, equipment, regulations, etc.
- Perform annual audits of the safety program to ensure compliance with applicable State and Federal regulations.
- Ensure that regulatory permitting and periodic reporting is completed on schedule including oversight and management of Hazardous Waste, Stormwater and Air Quality programs.
- Implement and maintain Disaster Recovery Business Continuity, Injury Illness Prevention, Respiratory, Environmental Management System and Health and Safety Management System plans.
- Coordinate with Human Resource and Manufacturing teams to organize and conduct Job Hazard Assessments.
- Participate in Teledyne EHS team calls, projects and report required metrics, and implement EHS initiatives (Safety Share, Safety Day, Safety Video).
- Carry out procedural tests (e.g. spill tests, fire drills, disaster recovery checks).
- Lead regular EHS committee meeting, provide minutes and actions and ensure these are completed promptly.
- Coach and support area owners to manage risk assessments and manage day-to-day health & safety issues.

Salary Range:
$74,800.00-$99,880.000
