Minimum Qualifications

• Food handler's permit (as required by facility. Remote workers may be exempt from this requirement).
• Demonstrated good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated math skills.
• Demonstrated ability to transcribe information quickly and accurately.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

• Assists pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of medications.
• Completes billing within the appropriate time frame assuring accurate charges with correct date of service in designated areas.
• Labels and packages medications appropriately. Prepares medications in a timely manner to expedite delivery to the patient.
• Operates automated technology (Automated Dispensing Cabinets, carousel, compounders, packager, printers, etc.) in accordance with department standards and expectations.
• Acts as a resource for new pharmacy caregivers.

Job Description

Essential Functions

• Must perform most essential functions of the IV Pharmacy Technician and perform duties related to the ordering, receiving, storing, preparing, compounding, dispensing and distribution of sterile, hazardous, and non-hazardous drugs. 
• Maintain and monitor proper documentation of compounding, cleaning (including deactivation and decontamination of hazardous drugs), testing, and certification of equipment and compounding areas.
• Responsible for ensuring competency of all aspects of staff (both technicians and pharmacists) performing sterile compounding and handling hazardous drugs, including but not limited to garbing, proper compounding procedure, cleaning, testing, and training. Works collaboratively with pharmacists to ensure compliance of USP 797 and USP 800 standards.
• Oversee inventory management of highly expensive chemotherapy and biotherapy drugs, which includes monitoring usage, managing drug shortages, working with limited distribution network purchasing requirements, monitoring expirations, and reducing waste.
• Utilizing and maintaining software systems and acts as a resource for upgrades and changes. Monitoring of equipment, room pressure, temperature and humidity in compounding and drug storage rooms, engineering controls, environmental monitoring, and quality of sterile preparations to evaluate compliance with USP 797 and USP 800 standards.
• Trained on hazardous drug exposure and spill control, including treatment of individuals accidently exposed to hazardous drugs.
• Support all aspects of investigational drug management, including inventory, information and recordkeeping, and preparation for dispensing.
• Participates in quality improvement projects for error prevention strategies.
• Acts as a mentor to enforce proper procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Manage all general maintenance activities.  This includes but is not limited to general mechanical equipment/systems, boiler plant facilities, fire alarm systems, grounds keeping, painting, and general laboring.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, implement and oversee all plant operating, maintenance and repair procedures and policies based on industry standards and code requirements.  Sets priorities in assignments including training. Ensures scheduling of plant operations staff 24 hours per day, 365 days per year to ensure proper operation of the facilities and grounds. (20%)
• Work with the department leadership to prepare, monitor, and control the annual operating budget, and reduce departmental cost. Assists in the development of the departmental capital budget for the fiscal year. (15%)
• Prepares reports on completed tasks, safety committee, and participates in process improvement initiatives. (10%)
• Train and develop personnel in relevant activities and safety practices.  Manages all performance of employees in area of responsibility. Evaluates work, and recommends and implements approved disciplinary action. (10%)
• Oversees preventive maintenance and ensures meeting regulatory compliance for DOH and Joint Commission. (15%)
• Direct, manage and evaluate maintenance personnel. Counsel, discipline, and discharge subordinate personnel when necessary. Interview and hire personnel as required. (20%)
• Manage and/or perform the operations of the maintenance management computer system. This includes system design, upgrading, programming and implementation thereof.  (10%)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

• Prior job related experience of at least 3- 5 years.

POSITION PURPOSE:         

Performs general maintenance and repairs on facilities equipment not requiring a specific skill or license.  When assigned provides assistance to the skilled tradesman with their activities.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Attends gas-fired boilers, chilled water and hot-water heating systems.
• Installs, maintains and repairs heating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment including fans, motors, thermostats, and dampers.
• Replaces filters, belts, and fluids as necessary on HVAC system motors and fans.
• Monitors room temperatures, humidity, duct pressures and outside air exchanges daily.  Calibrates and/or adjust building automation system and control valves as required.
• Ensures the proper operation and maintenance of all pumps, motors, valves, and thermostats, gauges and dampers associated with the HVAC system
• Works with all trades in troubleshooting and making repairs to broad and diverse range of industrial and hospital equipment and systems.
• Attaches plumbing fixtures and clears clogged drain systems.
• Performs assigned preventative maintenance.
• Makes rounds through equipment and mechanical rooms. Reads and records gauges and meters.  Observes the operation of equipment and reports unusual conditions and/or takes corrective action.
• Performs routine electrical and plumbing maintenance and repairs
• Attends hospital alarms systems.
• Responds to routine trouble calls. Performs a variety of routine maintenance and repairs appropriate for skill level.
• Performs ground maintenance.
• Assists the skilled tradesman with construction or renovation projects.
• Performs minor repairs to door hardware, wall and ceiling systems.

Some details about this position:

• No Dialysis experience is required.

• Training may take place in a facility or a training clinic other than your assigned home clinic

• Potential to float to various clinics during and after your training

• You must have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

What you can expect:

• Direct Patient Care. Spend the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable and hygienic dialysis treatment.

• Our PCTs care for multiple patients.

• Technician Duties. To monitor patients before, during and after dialysis treatment including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup. Please note you will have exposure to blood and needles.

• Building long-term relationships with your patients who are suffering from end stage renal disease and are receiving treatment on average 3 times/week. You will also be responsible for educating patients on Kidney Dialysis related topics.

• Team. Cross functional team of clinicians including technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers and leadership. PCTs work under the supervision of a RN.

Requirements:

• Desire to enter the health care field to care for other people in need

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must be comfortable working around blood and needles

• Must be comfortable mixing acid or bicarb

• Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts are 12+ hours) on your feet so wear comfortable shoes! Our work ends when it's safe for our patients.

• Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.

• Health care experience a plus including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.

• Remove and replace cubicle curtains
• Transport beds, cribs, and furniture as needed.
• Cleans spills, broken glass, body fluids in general, and large volume of water.
• Performs floor care that consists of extracting and /or shampooing carpets, spot removing stains, buffing floors, stripping /scrubbing and refinishing floors.
• Performs daily cleaning of patient rooms.
• Performs discharge cleaning of patient rooms
• Performs daily cleaning and terminal cleaning of isolation rooms.
• Performs daily cleaning of offices and ancillary areas
• Performs daily cleaning of public areas and restrooms.
• Replenishes supplies such as paper towels, toilet tissues, and hand soap.
• Return unused supplies to janitor’s closet
• Cleans cart, equipment and janitor closets when shift ends.
• Report needed repairs and safety hazards
• Ability to adjust schedule to meet department needs and changes.
• Collects, transports, and disposes regular wastes, infectious wastes, and recycled wastes.
• Adheres to infection control guidelines.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs duties of maintenance mechanic such as but not limited to installing/repairing equipment pertaining to the operation of plant; renovating/constructing buildings and grounds; corrective/preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment and facility; snow and ice removal and ground maintenance. QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

• 3 years experience in one or several building trades in a hospital setting preferred.

Preferred
