1) Leader Duties:

(2) Non-Supervisory Duties:

a. Performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and major repair on heavy-duty mobile equipment, combat, tactical, and automotive vehicles. This may include self-propelled artillery, tracked cargo and personnel carriers, road graders, mobile cranes, front loaders, bulldozers, power shovels, tanks, tracked combat vehicles, all terrain vehicles, semi trailers, forklifts, tractors, and accessory equipment. Troubleshoots, repairs and/or overhauls, as a regular and recurring duty, a variety of the mechanically complex major systems to include internal combustion engines, turbine engines, automatic and non-automatic transmissions, heavy duty drive line systems, and hydraulic utility systems and controls, cross drive or similar multi-system transmissions and a variety of intricate fuel injection systems. Makes repairs and modifications to assemblies and components such as voltage regulators, generators/alternators, brake cylinders, etc., for use or placement in systems for which they were not specifically designed. Improvises work when standard procedures do not apply.

b. Troubleshoots equipment with a variety of the mechanically complex major systems and diagnoses difficult performance problems and the cause of mechanical failures by means of visual and auditory checks, uses test equipment such as engine analyzers, compression testers, voltmeters, ohmmeters, pressure gauges and computer diagnostic tools. Utilizes embedded diagnostics in equipment and a wide variety of specialized original equipment manufacturer system analyzers in order to determine the exact nature or extent of repair. Determines what adjustments may be necessary to complete work orders, and whether any additional repairs other than those specified or indicated on the work order are necessary.

c. Removes and disassembles engines and complex major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, and fuel, hydraulic, and oil pressure systems. Makes the appropriate repairs, overhaul, or modifications in accordance with the proper repair specifications and procedures, and improvises repair techniques when standard procedures are not available. Reassembles engines and other systems, and adjusts, tests, and reinstalls in vehicles and equipment as necessary. Makes adjustments and repairs to electrical and suspension systems. Repairs equipment with a variety of interconnected systems to include state of the art electrical and electronic, fuel injection, interconnected gear reduction, multiple engines, and similarly complex systems. Improvises, substitutes, or alters components or parts to fit into systems for which the items were not specially designed or finds other ways to correct defects when existing methods and procedures do not give desired results.

d. Independently performs repairs and maintenance functions with little or no supervision in remote locations. Provides technical guidance and specialized team leadership to lower grade employees within the team. Assists lower grade mechanics in performing major repair work on interconnected complex systems such as electrical, air and hydraulic systems, complex state of the art electrical and electronic systems that use specialized diagnostic equipment to identify problems, complex fuel injection systems and other similar complex systems.

Makes repairs to assemblies and components such as voltage regulators, generators/alternators, brake cylinders, etc. Performs work in accordance with modification work orders, technical manuals, lubrication orders, maintenance bulletins, regulations or management policies. May repair a variety of more complex major systems to include engines, cross drive or similar multi-system transmissions and a variety of intricate fuel injection systems.

(2) Troubleshoots equipment and diagnoses the cause of mechanical failures by means of visual and auditory checks and/or uses test equipment such as engine analyzers, compression testers, voltmeters, ohmmeters, pressure gauges, and computer diagnostic tools. (4) Independently performs repairs and maintenance functions in remote locations that can be accomplished by removing, cleaning, reinstalling, or replacing defective parts of components and systems such as injectors, leaking wheel cylinders, corroded mufflers, fuel tanks, brake cylinders and worn brake shoes, voltage regulators, generators, injector pumps, and fuel pumps. Provides technical guidance and specialized team leadership to lower grade employees within the team. Assists lower grade mechanics in performing major repair work. May provide Field and limited Sustainment maintenance at unit locations as part of a "contact team." Recovers and evacuates inoperable vehicles from the unit location of breakdown. May assist higher graded mechanics in repairing a variety of interconnected systems such as electrical, air and hydraulic systems, complex state of the art electrical and electronic systems that use specialized diagnostic equipment to identify problems, complex fuel injection systems and other similar complex systems.

(5) Conducts readiness and repair inspections on vehicles and associated equipment supported by the activity. Performs operational inspections and ensures vehicles and equipment are properly serviced, including brake adjustments, replacing hydraulic fluids, greasing, cleaning, etc., and performs other preventive maintenance operations as required. Inspects supported equipment prior to use during Inactive Duty Training (IDT) and Annual Training (AT), to ensure that it is functioning properly. May inspect in-process repair work of lower graded repairer to ensure equipment is being repaired in accordance with pertinent requirements. May serve as a commodity inspector during Command Maintenance Management evaluations (COMET) or as a member of a Maintenance Assistance Instruction Team (MAIT). Instructs operator/crew in the maintenance of equipment and provides technical advice and assistance to supported units when requested.

(6) May maintain and repair electronics communication equipment by removing and replacing components and elements. Equipment includes such items as radios, field telephones, amplifiers, switchboards, recorders, intercoms.

SPS Technician, receives contaminated critical and semi-critical reusable medical equipment (RME) in the decontamination area, and may receive noncritical equipment as well. Disassembles the RME and determines the correct cleaning method, such as, but not limited to, ultrasonic cleaners, mechanical washers/disinfectors, Trophon EPR, and chemical cleaning/decontamination agents, as determined by manufacturer instructions. Inspects, assembles and determines the correct method and packaging for sterilization, such as, but not limited to steam, Trophon EPR, and high level disinfecting. Performs and documents daily operational checks and records for all processes and equipment.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Determines correct method for cleaning and disinfection, then removes soil, blood, tissue fragments, body fluids, and other contaminants by wiping, soaking, rinsing, scrubbing, and use of ultrasonic equipment and washer/disinfectors.
• differentiates if the items will be sterilized or will be processed using High Level Disinfection (HLD) methods based on the Spaulding Classifications of the item being reprocessed. Items determined to require HLD are reprocessed using an Automatic Endoscope Reprocessor (AER) or manual methods and approved quality controls for the process. All items reprocessed using HLD must also be properly rinsed to remove the disinfecting agent.
• Monitors performance of sterilizers for quality control by conducting bacteriological tests.
• The incumbent quarantines any implantable items during the testing period and complies with the VA Policy for Early Release of Implantable Devices by assuring that the proper, paperwork is completed and signed by the Chief of Staff or the designee before releasing those implants if the 3-hour biological monitoring process is not completed before the implants are needed.
• Unloads sterilized trays, sets and packs from sterilizers, during which time all items are inspected for visual changes to external chemical indicators which shows that the item or package has been exposed to the physical conditions of a sterilizing cycle.
• Places a stamped date and control number on each sterilized item indicating the expiration date. Incumbent stocks sterile items on shelves or delivery carts on a first-in, first-out basis for rotation.
• Provides training and orientation to medical personnel on sterile supply techniques and procedures.

• Ideally we are looking for a fully qualified Vehicle Technician with a level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & repair however we will consider someone with a level 2 in vehicle maintenance with strong technical knowledge. If you are a time served Vehicle Technician then we can discuss options.

A fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Panel Beater & MET Technician to join a thriving Bodyshop based in Fishtoft, Boston. The candidate preferably will have formal qualifications but this is not essential & minumum 2 years in a professional bodyshop. Our work ranges from:

• General Bumps & Scrapes
• Trade Work
• Insurance Repairs
• Light Commercial
• Small Lorry Repairs

We are a small independent Bodyshop with state of the art equipment such as our External Light commercial Spray Booth, dent pulling equipment, mig and alloy welder. It will be a great opportunity to learn and expand your knowledge. JPS Bodyworks offers quality paint and bodywork at a competitive price which has enabled the business to grow year on year.

Skills required;

• Repairing scratches, dents and other damage to bodywork, including filling, shaping and sanding bodywork ready for paint.

• Use of a dent puller for larger dents

• Plastic repair of bumpers and trims including plastic welding.

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent time keeping skills

• Minimum of 2 years in a professional body shop

• MIG welding

Optional skills;

• Spray painting.

We can be flexible for the right person regarding hours, employed or contract. Pay is negotiable depending on skills, experience and contract type.

Working for a global manufacturer who manufacture and supply materials to the building services industry, this is a great opportunity to join a busy and expanding team working Monday to Friday on a three shift pattern.
Your new role
You will be joining a highly skilled Engineering Team working across a large site with mainly automated equipment, working to the scheduled PPM, completing work orders as assigned and reacting to any breakdowns reducing lost time. You will utilise the business CMMS (SAP) recording all works completed and materials used. You will investigate breakdowns and report via root cause analysis, improving plant reliability, working safely and adhering to site HSE policies.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have completed an Engineering apprenticeship or be qualified to NVQ/C&G level 3, electrical qualifications are essential in this role due to the automation, you will be experienced in fault-finding and working on PLC's and 3 phase motors. You will have experience of CMMS systems (SAP preferred).
