Role & Responsibilities:

Planned Maintenance inspections, review parts used
Recommend improvements in line with projects and maintenance schedules, carry out safety checks on range of equipment
Monitor plant conditions, report defects, repair of machinery
Generate and maintain compliance to SOP's, risk assessments
Report on plant performance using systems, ensure action on non-conformance issues
Working on a range of valves & Pumps
Supporting production & continuous improvement projects

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Formal Engineering Qualification - C&G Level 3, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship trained

The Role:

We are looking to recruit experienced multi-skilled Maintenance Engineers to support the engineering department with sound electrical, mechanical and maintenance engineering service to improve production operating efficiencies.

Main duties will include:

· Respond to breakdowns and repair and maintain equipment across all production lines and process areas.

· Responsible for PPM and maintaining correct records within appropriate timescales.

· Undertaking plant strip downs, rebuilds and component repairs.

· Assist with small project works as well as identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

· PLC troubleshooting or diagnostics, identifying or resolving issues with a programmable logic controller (PLC) system like Siemens, Allen Bradley

· Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. These diagnostics are performed to identify faults, malfunctions, or abnormalities to determine the root cause and implement appropriate repairs or maintenance procedures to return the line back to production.

· Develop knowledge of production processes and share with other engineers and operatives.

· Candidate requirements:

· Time served apprentice to NVQ 3 in an engineering discipline.

· At least 3 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment.

· Strong electrical and mechanical skills.

· Excellent Health and Safety awareness.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and comfortably manage changing priorities.

· Excellent attention to detail.

· Hard working, enthusiastic and eager to develop.

· Good communication skills and happy to work as part of a team or individually.

· Sound IT skills and a good standard of English and Maths.

Hours and Location:

The factory is based in Knighton and you will work 40 hours per week on a 12 hour continental shift pattern (0600-1800 and 1800-0600).

4 days on, 4 off, 4 days on, 4 off, 4 nights on, 4 off, 4 nights on, 4 off.

What could you be doing?
From minor servicing, full services, and repairs to basic pipe installations, we need you to help us keep our homes up to temperature.
As a team player, you’ll be hard working and keen to learn with a can-do attitude. You’ll be working in people’s homes, so you’ll need to be friendly and approachable with good communication skills. You’ll also need to be organised and recognise the importance of delivering good customer service. 
Some things we need from you
• You will have sound experience and be ACS qualified and have CCN1, CKR1, HTR1, CEN1 (or CENWAT), MET1, LPG and CPA1.
• NVQ Level 2 Plumbing/ Heating/ Ventilation is essential
• You will be a good communicator and can work well with customers and other trades.
• You’ll have a full UK driving licence
• As you will be working in our customers’ homes you would also require a DBS check.
There is also the opportunity to earn up to £1500 per annum from the out of hours on-call allowance and voluntary overtime. This role will require being on the out of hours rota.
This is a mobile role covering a locality in Herefordshire around Hereford, Leominster and Ledbury so you will need to be based in or close to this area.
